I'll keep it short but I recently quit my place of work, as of 3-4weeks ago, because of a bad work environment and a new gm who had been friends with me up untill he got His job. all of a sudden he started powertripping on me, cutting my hours and needless to say I told him to get fuxked. Anyways I was a
Manager and dealt with deposits and handling money. I contacted another manager at the start of the year to make sure everything was squared away since my gm was very unprofessional and never contacted me about anything in regards to things I needed to close up or if there was anything left to take care of. He said he didn't know but hadn't heard anything. The other day the place I previously worked at had a break in and they were cleaned out. A detective contacted me last night asking questions since my name was brought up and asked me about the store, what I thought, informing me of the situation, confirming something's and asking about responsibilities, security, and if I still had keys to the store. I complied but was careful with my answers and made it clear of the bat that if I felt uncomfortable with any questions I would need to get my lawyer. It never came to that but I'm a suspect currently and it has me
On edge and somethings just don't look very good on my side. I can tell you know from working there that tbh anyone could have been involved and keys to the safe and general proxedures were available to the common employee. I can also tell you that they will probably have zero evidence on anyone based on security unless someone was an idiot and that if there was any it would have been ruined by the morning manager doing basic duties.

I have heard of suspects being
    Arrested without substantial evidence
But since all my records are on file and
They know where I live I have a feeling
That I would have been arrested by now.
I have no interest in breaking the law since I'm currently on 12 back to back weekend jail reporting and on probation for 9months. If I get arrested and violate probation but beat this later down the line since they have no real evidence am I just going to be fuxked?

The detective didn't offer me much info and I'm trying to keep low key about everything. But can provide more small details if it helps. I have mixed feelings. I didn't do it so I doubt they can do anything long term but short term
I could be busted for a while and fuxked
For damn near everything. Just sucks I feel like I'm a strong suspect based on bullshit circumstances but I don't have the criminal background to make the leap from weed too taking loads of cash.

I think it would be obvious for the detective to at the least question recently departed employees who were in a position of Management or those who had certain access within the company. However as you alluded to I think in these matters you really should obtain legal advice before you answwer any Police questions, Sometimes the police are seeking someone who will fit into a space, not necessarily the right person either.

Well I'm comfortable handling the law. Typically I play the lawyer card just to keep things professional in questioning. But in my experience representing myself has paid off better then hiring an attorney. Actually all cases I represented myself I was able to beat because of good common sense and keeping my mouth shut when I needed too. Not to
Mention for this Owi thing I'm dealing with I got a lesser sentence then what I have seen lawyers get in the same town for people and afterwards I even had a few attorneys ask me how I did. All I had to do was harass the shit outve the prosecutor. I've seen people
Get off with much less but in Morgan county Indiana they are cut throats
    Edit: and by all
    I mean all
But the Owi case lol -_- felt like I handled it well tho and I only picked up $300 in overall fees. Not to mention I picked up some
Respect points with the new judge in the town
And told me as long as I came
In and talked to him he would work out and
    Modify the jail time
I have to do to fit my schedule as long as I don't Fuxk with his lunch break lol.

I figured it was just protocol to contact me. But was more
Or less curious if they would arrest me without any evidence
If I was just a strong suspect. All I
Know is if they do there is going to be some
Lawsuits and a bunch a paper work
I'm going to push at them for
The inconvience I could deal with. I'm
    Not scared to go to
Jail to save money but could probation violate before I get sentenced? If I
    Do get arrested?
