I need some information regarding a town. Carndonagh. I have done an internet search, but not much has come up. If you are not from the town or have never been to that town, please answer the questions to the best of your ability. Do the houses have basements? Are there any hotels or bed & breakfasts within the town? (I can only seem to find two B&Bs that are outside of the town and nothing within the town) What are the styles of the houses and buildings there? Thank you.
In my novel, that I am editing, I need the information. At first, I had the characters staying in an inn located within the town, but now it seems I might have to change the location to being outside of town. It is not that big a deal to change it, but it would help to have certain information in order to keep it the way it is. Two scenes even takes place in a basement, and it might be nice to know if houses/inns there have basements.
Howdy! New here, but I am Irish! Carndonagh is a small small place, I very much doubt there's a hotel within the town limits. Outside of Georgian houses in some cities, I've yet to find a house in Ireland with a basement, usually because of a high water table, or the inability of the workmen to deal with creeping damp. If you need any info regarding Limerick, Galway or Sligo, they are my forte.
