I haven't auditioned for a musical in a few years, and there's a LOT of talent and therefore competition in my area. Although, I am grateful to be surrounded and influenced by this said talent :)
Anyway, my monologue is from Alice in Wonderland (when she's falling down the rabbit hole :p ) and I will sing I Have Confidence from The Sound of Music. Any auditioning/nerves/acting/vocal tips from all performers are welcome! :)

If it's not too late to drop some advice, I definitely suggest vocal warm-ups before you get there. There's a guy named Roger Love who has made some warm-up exercises available. Slippery Elm lozenges before and after - melt in your mouth and available from natural food stores.

The best advice, however, is go BALLS OUT (or ovaries out) when you audition. Give it all you've got and throw yourself into it. No holding back. Take a risk. Be loud and confident! You'll stand head and shoulders over the rest (even if they're technically better!)

    Break a leg!

Rehearse for your audition. A lot. That's the best thing to do. Rehearse with other people watching.
