Honestly I don't see the big deal about this substance, makes you more alert and jittery, numbs you out a little, wtf, it has nothing on psychedelics. Why the big hoopla?

Bump for 250mg MDMA tonight for a local DJ show off. Not as strong as I would expect from that dose, but still an amazing night.

It can numb pretty strong if its good coke, boost ego and confidence. In many ways coke represented sort of the antithesis of Psychedelics in its hey day, at least in the US. It was a drug that represented glamour, prestige and in many ways was a symbolic drug for the excesses of American culture. I've seen like a piece on it from the late 70's / early 80's refer to it as "The Champagne of Drugs." Those notions probably still maintain to a degree today but given that a lot of coke can have stuff like dewormer in it or be stamped to shit, its reputation has kind of been tarnished.

It can be alright mixed with booze but not really my thing either.

 

GB pretty much nailed it. What you got was probably more crap than coke.

The first couple of time I tried coke I more or less thought the same thing, until I found a source of very clean, as in never-been-cut, 93% pure, Peruvian pink pearlescent flakes of superman's ego on a mirror.
Then my opinion changed.

But, that was 1979 and the only time I found any cocaine that actually lived up to the hype and he only had 2 ounces .
Most others samples of coke I've had over the years provided little more than I get from a good strong espresso.

 

My mom passed away Thursday. She was taken away from us far too soon. I am absolutely lost, she was my anchor. As soon as I recieve my inheritance I am leaving this awful shithole full of bad memories and heading to Cali so maybe I'll be seeing some of you west coast peeps soon.

pretty much my thoughts on it as well.

i'm sure i've never had 92% pure stuff, but i can tell the difference between the times i had crappy coke and at least decent coke...and it still wasn't that cool when i did the good stuff.

(thanks to writer for the info) coke and alcohol actually combine in your body to form a different drug (maybe cocoa-ethylene) which is more harmful to your body than either drug alone. unfortunate, since most people also drink when they do coke.

 

Yeah... there was a post from me on it a couple of pages back... coke really doesn't do much for me - I only really enjoyed the dexterity/speed - sprinting up and down the garden was funny - the way it let me play with my feet/toes was quite the surprise... monkey man!

The stuff I tried wasn't south american flake, but it was rated quite highly - I don't believe it was too far off, somewhere in the low 80s.

I noted to a friend yesterday, that it was the first time I'd thought about the stuff in over a week - so I certainly didn't get the pull some do.

What I did get to glimpse at however, is how that feeling *could* get people hooked.

I think anyone who's been bullied in their lives or is generally quite repressed due to insecurities or similar... I can imagine that type of person finding the confidence boost addictive.



On the other hand... the experience gave me another little "normal life" confidence boost - seeing how it could affect people and realising that I really didn't need that ego boost - was a very nice realisation.

Friends who witnessed me on it noted how relaxed I seemed on the substance... just having fun with it... when they've seen others indulging, they've usually really tensed up and I was rather chilled despite moving quickly haha.

 

As DG mentioned below, yup - amphetamine. Usually much more pure than powder form.

I find it wonderful to drop at around 2-3 hours after MDMA, it continues the MDMA rushes and gives you the energy to keep dancing the night away Without quite the same risk as double dropping MDMA, topping up could potentially increase the risk of neurotoxicity - whereas as small amount of base doesn't appear to be quite as risky.

Of course amph over-use has its own risks, though.

The fireworks were absolutely wonderful - unfortunately for me I had been binging a little bit too much - so didn't get the full effects I was hoping for at that dose level. Ah well, it was a fun couple of weeks before I got to a stage where my drug use had to reduce substantially with the new location & new job. It's also given me a minimum of a full months break, which is good for me haha.

Although, really rather looking forward to that first weekend in Feb - I'm going to be trying out that new delivery of crystal... with a few close friends I'm really rather missing. I'm not tainting that experience with anything - it's going to be very enjoyable. Then it will be, at minimum, another month... good to be spacing things out properly haha.

Another recommendation for 2C-B though is LASERS!!! They are the perfect light source for 2C-B in my opinion... I had an animation laser (the type that make moving images)... it was especially amazing watching it dance through my partner's hair - try it, if you ever get the change :sunny:

Please let us know how you get on with that, I would be quite curious.

MDMA is certainly directed by the come up... but I would think that I would get too energetic to mediate on it.

Meditation on LSD however... DO IT!

Interesting quote, and I think... something I've been searching for a bit in my drug use... my spiritual side.

At least with LSD & DMT anyway - not so much MDMA. I've always seen MDMA as more of a party / love drug. It's so wonderful to connect with friends and loved ones on it, I must try going introspective on it next time I'm rolling.

i have one of those laser pointers too. i've played around with it on 2cb, and separately on LSD. the best is around a campfire, shine the laser through the smoke and it makes long beams. ...have your friend shine it at you from the other side of the fire and it looks like you're fucking flying through space.

When we headed into a club on NYE after watching the fireworks... I was only under the effects of 2C-B, waiting for the MDMA to come up... all I could see was "drunk, coke head, drunk, coke head, drunk coke head"... lol

All faded into the background though when the rushes started hitting and I knew I shouldn't be seen by them as a threat anymore

You could do something very back, very quickly to someone on that stuff... without even realising what you'd done until it was too late.

As for people saying it's not that addictive, well sure, nothing is the first time. It's when it's just there, any time you please, and your safety instincts gradually change and urges form.

About the neurotoxicity of double dosing MDMA, I don't think there's much accurate data about it's toxicity at all.... I know someone posted in this thread about a monkey study, that they botched by using amphetamine, and wrote a paper about how bad it was for you.

But amphetamine and methamphetamine are well known to be neurotoxic, I would be more worried about illicet speed than about MDMA.

GM, I'm sorry for your loss. Don't do anything rash, take time to assess your situation. You've said things that make it sound like you don't live in the greatest, safest place, but I could be wrong.... anyways, just don't go somewhere for the sake of going somewher, do some research and find where you really want to go with the atmosphere you really want to live in, and find a place there, job there, etc, and then move. Remember, weed's legal in CO, but not CA

 

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom passing. I took my Mom's death harder than anyone else's, so far.
