My faves are a 96 PRS Custom, black, with the original Dragon pickups, a Taylor 610CE in deep blue and an ivory Ibanez Artwood that is just perfect for rock n roll or rockabilly tunes.
I play mostly acoustic, and I have this1979 Ovation that is my fav" deep bowl so the sound I think compares to a Taylor.
I didn't know you also had an interest in music.. I just presumed you were a guy who hung out in the "Love and Sex" section!!
I like these guitars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07hoKUrMT5A&list=FLDDql0AsdOsLIgfFUFtXy8g&index=1"]The Who-Eminence Front Live in Tampa 2007 - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDds15EPN5E&list=FLDDql0AsdOsLIgfFUFtXy8g&index=47"]Neil Young - Down by the river ("Where The Action Is" Stockholm 12/6/2009) EDIT VERSION - YouTube
My favorite is always whatever is my latest. Currently an Ibanez AS93 semi-hollow, violin sunburst. Heavy as a MoFo but the neck plays like butter.
My personal top 1 guitar is Fender - the one like Jimmy's and Guilmor's. The quality of sound is amazing, the tradition and resiliance are pretty high
My favorite guitar is the one I learned on - My Ibanez RG140 Roadstar II. I got it for fifty dollars at a pawn shop because it didn't come with an amplifier, it only had one string on it and it looked like it had been thrown in a wood chipper. But after I got some strings on it, it played like a dream. I've had it for about eight years now. My favorite acoustic is my Harmony H162. It's in amazing condition for a guitar that's close to fifty years old.
Of the Guitars I have, my tele is my favorite. But I wouldn't get rid of the others I have. My Epiphone Les Paul is gorgeous, fast and has really hot pick ups. Only good for the hard loud stuff though. My strat is just a Squire but it plays just like the more expensive Fender. My Ibanez Gio is another $150.00 guitar, but it plays like a dream. I bought a Silvertone from an antique store for $40.00 that was made in the 50's. I did some work on it, and now it plays just fine. My Dean is an electric/acoustic hollow body with a cutaway, excellent. My Guild acoustic I've had for thirty years, still awesome tone. Today I'm gonna be talking to a guy that wants to trade a Gibson Les Paul studio for a set of golf clubs. I've got a set of Pings he might go for, I hope. I still need a twelve string.
Ive a Les Paul Epiphone standard pelham & a CH SG Copy. Love the LP Epi to bits, took a while to get the action right ,from factory settings, but I can't keep my hands off it-gota keep it in another room! My goal is to be able to play an acceptable imitation of Paul Kossoffs playing (anyone remember 'Free') which still blows me away. I'm no 'natural' musician, just learning but the LP Epi makes that a pleasure! Another hero is Jimmy Page , another Tele/LP Man!
