I'm fairly new to using marijuana. I'm not too fond of smoking so I decided to get a vaporizer about a month ago. I guess it's something you kind of have to experiment with..I'm just wondering if anyone maybe has any tips on how to get good hits? I was having problems with it at first and thought the tubing was clogged or something but now I think I've got the hang of using it...Although sometimes it seems the weed will burn up (maybe I have the temp too high). I usually set it at 390.

First off... It all depends on the vaporizer.. Those cheap box style vapes are horrible vapes.. on many different levels.. from being built like shit.. to being very inaccurate.. A good vape will run you about $150-200.. There's better vapes out there.. But you'll pay for it.. Only exception is the MFLB.. Which runs about $80(Or you could buy mine for $40 ;))

Secondly.. Here is a list of boiling points for cannabinoids and other oils and such.. This will give you an idea of what "range" you want to vape.. It's always a smart option to start your vape on the lowest reasonable temp.. start around 320*.. Just because you don't see the vapor doesn't mean that you're not vaporizing chemicals.. and go up every 10* or so until you get to 410-420*.. beyond those temps the vapor starts becoming more "unhealthy" as you start introducing carcinogens

I'm not really sure what kind of vaporizer I have. It's blue and looks like an alarm clock. lol. The guy at the smoke shop I go to was stoned and he couldn't find the box to the cheaper one I actually wanted (the one I was planning on getting was $60 & yellow..)
So he ended up selling me the blue one that was supposed to be $85 for $60...
    Pretty sweet deal it seems.

Most people seriously into their drugs have an inner chemist and have done their research. Kudos to them, for it!

Nope, I love everything about smoking. I would try it if I knew someone who has a vaporizer but doubt I would switch to it.

Very true, most vaporizers don't burn all the THC in one pass, even the really expensive ones. I save the left overs for edibles.

just remember.. you need A LOT of abv(already been vaped) weed to make potent edibles.. 8g for a single serving.. 14-28g for a batch of brownies.. just dump it in a milk shake or something and drink away is the best option

I vaporize every day, but i use a regular bowl, and a bernzOmatic butane mini torch (brazing/soldering) and use the "heat gun" attachment. It was about 15 buck at the hardware store. Works like a champ even when it's windy!

theres portable ones on ebay for about $8 but uses butane, not sure how they work though. idk, I personally like to taste my weed rather than vaporize it. I've never gotten high with a vaporizer

Im using a phone to write this or i would post a link for you right now, but if u WANT to go look on youtube for

    "st200 micro torch 3 in 1 review"

...it is a flameless heat tool that u use to vaporize with, and for 15 bucks and now all your bowls are vaporizers!

Not sellin shit its just what i use and it works good.

you can also use the torch to heat your nail if you're doing Dabs.

I'm pretty sure that's getting too hot for vaporization... what you are doing is using a flameless source.. you're still combusting... but you're not inhaling butane.. which make it at least somewhat better than a lighter... a soldering gun with a ceramic heating element is another popular item for flame-less combustion

I just wanted to share my method of vaporizing, and believe me it does work, because of it bein a cost effective way to get a vaporizer. Its heat is very easy to control to actually vaporize , and you don't have to wait around forever like with the electric ones.

go on ahead and look it up I wouldn't mislead folks

I start mine at about 360-370 to get it heated, and I'll go anywhere as low as 328.

I think the best advice is to start it at 340 and adjust it up by 5 or 10 degrees until you find a good temp. Remember it's vapor, so it should look kind of like your breath in the cold, not that milky like smoke. The weed should turn brown. Green means the temp is too low,and black means you're burning it.
