Yes - he was a great man. Well deserving of a memorial in Westminster Abbey. Bet they won't give him one, though.

The Sky at Night was one of the things that helped to keep me a little bit sane during my teens. Jolly good man he was.

    Hello,

there are inofficial lists with people who could be Sir Patrick's follower. Besides others Brian Cox is on the list I guess. I'm quite unsure if there can to a follower. I think a lot of astroners can do The Sky at Night. But with Sir Patrick -who was clearly a real character- in their backs it would neither be an easy job nor would The Sky at Night be the same as before.

So, who do you think should do it?

    Regards
    Gyro

I heard Brian May as a possibility, he's got a PhD in astrophysics and was mates with Sir Pat

That Chris Lintott fellow has been doing most of the presenting on there for quite some time now! Would be a bit unfair to bring someone else in I think. He is a bit crap like :D
