FOIA Request: Government Planned to Assassinate OWS Leadership and Protesters

I think it's an outrage. The fact that they didn't follow through with the plot is irrelevant: They were planning on murdering protesters who were simply exercising their First Amendment rights

When you consider

1: The government has, as early as 2009, labeled protesters as low-level terrorists

2: The government has asserted and acted upon the right to kill people, even Americans, who they decide on unknown criteria to designate as terrorists

3: The NDAA declares the whole world (even the US) to be a battlefield (which effectively suspends Posse Commitatus), more or less declaring martial law in terms that sound more obscure: Though the predominant focus is the use of military personnel to be able to jail and detain
American citizens, this could easily allow military force in other ways to be used (i.e. drones)

4: The military has been operating drones outside of designated areas

This is terrifying and a sign of a true high-tech police state. One which operates outside the boundaries of the law and the Constitution.

If you cannot realize how dangerous this is, you never will. For those who do, we need to spread the word of this around.

We can capitalize on this as most people would be much more likely to oppose the use of drones if they realize the government really does view protesters as low-level terrorists and was really willing to kill them

In addition to forwarding this message to everybody you know, we also need to

1: Write our Congressmen and Senators

2: Call Congressmen and Senators sympathetic to freedoms out of State

3: Call Senators sympathetic to freedom out of State

4: Put this issue up on the Facebook pages run by Congressmen and Senators -- this would put the issue in the open for all to see (for those sympathetic to civil rights, couch it in a way that sounds cordial and nice since they already care)

5: Under no circumstance should threats be made or insinuated

I recommend against any violence since that would give them more justification to actually carry out plans to carry out force against us!

So long as we avoid violence we don't have anything to lose -- if we do nothing things will continue down the same course.

Looks like it's completely the opposite.

Page #61 in the FBI documents talks about them having learned of someone's plan to kill the protesters in Houston, Texas with sniper rifles.

 

I know. This thread is saying the 'someone' is the government (FBI). The other one (the title atleast) is about the government not telling OWS of an alleged plot (not by the Gov' / FBI).

Yeah, I think the info that lead to the title of this post got all twisted up and confused which may be why the link in the OP is no longer working.

 

More likely, PJ1783, chose to interprete the information that way for his own agenda. The video (from his link) doesn't mention anything about a plot by the FBI/Gov' carrying out assassination(s) on OWS. But it does try to like PJ1783.
That's why I was leaving the thread in my first post.

I think because the working link (in my first post) does not have the http://- he messed it up, and didn't check it.

No I didn't. The entities involved in the plot were redacted which means presumably they are government.

If you have no evidence, your link doesn't actually say that and others don't think so - then I would say: Given your track record, I'm not surprised you think that - but you don't actually know, but, obviously, free to think the worst if you wish.

 

should we expect anything to the contrary? when you have a superpower like the united states they have many contingency plans written out in detail. plans for any type of disaster or any type of populist revolution. they understand they are tyrannical with the wars and the drone bombings and the rollback of civil liberties here at home, plus all the taxes and shipping jobs overseas, they aren't going to let a few movements get too big? that threatens them, threatens the power of the state.
