A plane crashed in my cousin's family's driveway in 2007. The pilot and his son were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and lived and my cousin's car and her dad's carport were damaged. Her mom and dad were in the basement when it happened and came out to this. A bunch of little girls across the street saw it. It's one of the better stories I have to tell about my family. Now your turn. Go.
The craziest thing that happened to my family was that one of my 4 brothers went missing and his body was found in the woods a month later. Made a terrible deep, dark, scar on all of us.
No. The GBI said there was no foul play. That means there was no physical evidence of violent attack with the remains in the state of decomposition in which they were at that point. He was a meth addict and there was meth found in his system so they deemed it a meth overdose. He was found nude from the waste down which the GBI decided to explain away as him having been in a state of hyperthermia and started taking his clothes off. That's bullshit, though. Everyone knows if you are in a state of panic from being hot you start by taking your fucking shirt off. There was foul play, I know it. The GBI didn't give a shit about him - to them he was just one more dead junkie. The fuckers.
Damn, I'm sorry. People kind of write victims off if they are known drug-users or dead from an overdose. They just become "fucking junkies" rather than people. It's beyond sad and they always fail to forget that they've got friends and family who love them and want answers.
Thanks, Ramona. Me at my brother's grave 6 years after he died in 2003. It was his birthday. I took a cupcake there to celebrate and ended up in tears. My boyfriend took the picture. Wow, I've lost alot weight since this was taken in 2009.
my brother once tried to drive his new BMW through a flood cost him about $2000 for a new engine. I had to laugh yeah I know it's Schadenfreude, but I do love him all the same
Well, We had a helicopter land in our yard the day JFK was shot, he was low on oil so we gave him a quart, the helicopter that is. Saw the sky light up like daylight one night, I think it was the world famous Kecksburg UFO crash landing. Saw another UFO one night. Chased an escaped monkey. Were invaded by cows once. Had a top secret blimp bigger than the Goodyear job crash about a mile away a couple years ago, that was neat, they chased us away when the military showed up.
My mom did this with a brand new Cavalier. No BMW, but it was funny all the same. She even made the front page of the paper since she had to be rescued. I call it her "near death experience"
I drove my car through the window of a convenience store when I was 18, but all the old regulars here know that story, lol.
when I was a kid, I was really into my Lego. one day I discovered the lead from my tape player fitted perfectly into the lead for my Lego motor, so I thought if I connected the motor to the mains supply it would make it go really fast.... BANG!!!!!!!!!! I got blackened fingernails and a big surprise, but apart from that I lived to tell the tale
All my favorite family stories involve my late schitzophrenic uncle. He once got a little violent in my Grandma's house so she called the police. The police and EMT came and my uncle met them at the door with a shotgun. He shot at the EMT worker and the bullet grazed the side of his nose. Somehow my uncle spent a month in the state mental institution after that and then they let him free. He wouldn't have gotten away with that shit nowadays. The police would have shot him on the spot if that happened now.
Well, my grandpa came home from WWII and his wife had 2 kids (they had none before he left), she had also forged his signature and sold his farm. So he kicked her to the curb and married my grandma.
