I don't smoke myself because I don't enjoy the way it makes me feel, and the fact that I can get a random drug test at any point during my employment.
What I don't understand though is the current "medicinal marijuana" trend that is happening. It's pretty well trying to bypass the laws and with a wink and a nod giving permission to smoke. Does anyone else find it irritating and hope that it's just legalized and get rid of medicinal pot?

Baby steps. People in general, due to their religious ideals that make them see everything through evil-colored glasses, are against anything that could be good for society.

wouldn't it feel better just to be able to yell "because i wanna get high!" instead of "i have anxiety *wink* *wink*"?

The medical system is needed right now because people have a huge problem with people getting stoned. It's a core belief in our society, your not supposed to alter your mind, and if you do there is something wrong with you. You must be weak and unable to deal with life, which is a load of bullshit.

The only way it can be looked at as acceptable is if it's a scenario like a cancer patient with no interest in being high needs it. But it is really the high that is giving them the relief they want. The stimulation of appetite, the dulling of pain receptors, this is all the high, but everything they are seeking.

People have not realized that it is possible for weed for be both a recreational substance and a medicine. But it's really the same thing that went on with alcohol prohibition. Back then if a doctor recommended it, you could have alcohol, so everyone just did that with a wink and a nod. The doctor's just like today knew what was up, but they wanted to get paid.

I agree with the above poster. For some reason altered states are really frowned upon, I still cannot understand it. I always wanted to just go to the media and tell them how much it helped me. Before it I could barely leave the house without being extremely anxious. I couldn't keep conversations going and I had no friends. It's given me a much more positive outlook.

From a smoker of marijuana, and disliker of global black markets; thank you.

I can see it being legalized sooner or later. I mean if they really plan it out, weed can make a lot of cash and soooo many jobs
