    Around here most call it pop.

    I say soda but I don't know anyone else around here who calls it that so I'm not sure where I picked it up.

    Most people here call all dark sodas coke and light sodas by their brand name.

    Soda. Most people around here just refer to it all as "Coke." I think that is dumb. Pop is what my grandparents called it. At work it's "drinks". lol. At home it's, "Dear God, I really need to start drinking water."

    When I was a kid I went to New York city to visit an uncle and somehow ended up somewhere at a soda fountain. Back when they still had those things.
    And he asked me if I wanted a soda, and I, thinking of that delectable ice cream confection said, "Sure."

    I got a lousy bottle of pop.

    These are the ingredients for a soda:

    • 1 shot Half & Half
    • 2 shots or pumps chocolate syrup or fruit-flavored syrup
    • 2 scoops of vanilla or chocolate ice cream
    • club soda or seltzer water (cold)
    • whipped cream
    • maraschino cherry
