Yeah, I definitely think it would come down to the bread and the sauce.

I just read MCdonald's fries are made by McCain.

Pretty much any bread should be avoided, in my opinion, since even whole grains cause a spike in insulin levels.

I can't handle fast food anymore. Way too greasy and heavy

I've been considering cutting whole grains out of my diet because I've been reading up on them a bit..but I love breads and pasta so much. I'm trying to think of suitable replacements. I can use spaghetti squash for pasta but I would have a harder time cutting bread out - I eat garlic bread with just about every meal

I don't eat fast food often, nor do I like it too much, but once in a blue moon, I CRAVE something greasy and fattening (I blame the hormones :D ) like yesterday - I destroyed some McDonald's food like a maniac.

I think there's something weird in the meat of a Big Mac, like an addictive compound.
I know food experts say it smells like formadehyde.

There's something seriously wrong when companies arent obliged to state whats in their foods...

I'll eat *some* of the stuff once in a while. But I wouldn't trust them one inch with my insides. I see them as pretty much a food equivalent of Enron. Much like those GM clowns like Monsanto...

Salt and fat alone are addicting. Sugar, too.

But yeah, I went through a period where I was definitely addicted to fast food.

    Don't they say it's 100% beef?

    Canada:
    Aboot their Beef

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVA57Z7yxj8"]See How McDonald's Canada Hamburger Patties Are Made - YouTube

The only thing that we put in our beef is - wait for it - beef! That's all there is to it. Our patties are made from 100% Canadian beef with nothing added except a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. There are no binders, no preservatives and no additives. We think our burgers taste pretty great.

    UK
McDonald's UK beef patties are made using whole cuts of forequarter and flank from 100% British and Irish beef cattle. It is then simply minced and formed into patties by our beef supplier in Scunthorpe.

    US
McDonald’s USA announced it was discontinuing the use of ammonium hydroxide in its beef.
Beef Products Inc. produces the beef for McDonald’s USA. On its website, the company said that ammonium hydroxide naturally occurs in most foods. The company claims that the use of it in processing beef results in a reduction in bacteria such as e-coli.

Well you can cook the meat healthier yourself. If you make your own patties you can drastically increase the healthiness. Not frying helps. Chips in the oven better than fries in oil. Also healthier sauces can be added. You can buy proper bread that isn't laced with sugar. I'd say that making it yourself if you know what you're doing can be quite a bit healthier.

If you had a video, yes I would.

Watch the Video. Why would I not believe what is right in front of my eyes. I guess as soon as the camera's were gone they whipped out the 'pink slime' and the GM mouses and minced those up and added them to the beef, right?

If it isn't 100% beef then what else is in each countries beef? - The illuminati?

How about preservatives, hormones, chemicals, flavor enhancers, etc? Do you think they're going to mention that in a company video designed to improve the image surrounding the quality of their food? Why should I trust a video McDonalds themselves put out?

I do know they add preservatives and flavour enhancers to some of their food.
They do say that on their websites.

    Cheddar Cheese Slice (processed) :
Vegetarian Cheddar (51%), Water, Butter, Vegetarian Cheese (9%), Whey Powder, Milk Proteins, Emulsifying Salts (Trisodium Citrate, Citric Acid), Natural Cheese Flavouring, Salt, Preservative (Sorbic Acid), Colour (Natural Carotenes, Paprika Extract), Anti-caking Agent (Soya Lecithin).

    Dill Pickle Slices :
Fermented Gherkins, Water, Spirit Vinegar, Salt, Firming Agent (Calcium Chloride), Natural Flavouring (contains Celery), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate)
    http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/content/ukhome/meal_builder.html

We are talking about the beef, though.
I don't believe they add flavour enhancers or preservatives to their beef.
To be fair, I'm not 100% sure about the hormones everywhere around the world.

    They say:

It is against McDonald's meat specification to accept any meat from an animal that has received any antibiotic growth promoter or hormone. These substances are also strictly forbidden by the requirements of McDonald's Agriculture Assurance Programme (MAAP). Additionally the use of growth hormones is banned under UK and EU legislation.

But you don't trust the E.U do you? :p

    US: 2003
''It's a public health concern,'' said Bob Langert, the senior director of social responsibility at McDonald's, which is based in Oak Brook, Ill. ''So we're putting the word out that we want to buy less antibiotics in our meat.''

A lot of the time, I would imagine, what was put in their food is no longer put in their food - just some people didn't read the memo. A lot of it is history not the present day. You can't live in the past, as convenient as that might be.

Why do you have such a hard-on for McDonald's?

McDonald's is shit food. They're responsible for the torture and slaughter of billions of animals, and have contributed to the sickness and death of a vast number of humans. The factory farm system that serves McDonald's is a breeding ground for both animal and human diseases. If we have another highly lethal pandemic flu outbreak, factory farms will be a likely source.

    http://matadornetwork.com/life/eight-reasons-to-stop-eating-fast-food-right-now/

anitbiotics are not growth promoters. they kill bacteria.

also, what happens at a McDonald's in europe does not necessarily reflect what happens elsewhere

"putting out the word" that they "want to buy less antibiotics" is different from actually not putting antibiotics in their meat.

I want to "put out the word" that I "want to have flying monkeys come out of my butt".

odon you sure have a lot to say for someone so clueless

they use BGH and other synthetic hormones that make the cows sick.
when they say on the milk you that you don't buy at the store "grass fed cattle" its because at factory farms, cows are fed all the rest of the parts of the dead cows that they can't sell grinded up
