My cousin is in the hospital and when she gets out she will be staying at her mother's house. So seeing as I'll be here by myself for awhile...maybe a couple months I thought I would totally clean out the cupboards & freezer and start over. So far this is my grocery list for when I go shoppng this weekend.

    Grains: tortillas,brown rice,couscous, bagels,popcorn, 12-grain bread, cereal--total,oatmeal,wheat chex,maypo

    Dairy:milk,yogurt,sliced cheese, pudding

Fruit & Veggies:baby carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, bagged salad mix, cucumbers bananas, canned peaches, canned pineapple, canned peas, frozen veggies for stir-frys,

    Meat:eggs, canned tuna, canned salmon

Drinks: coffee, Juices, gaterade, hot chocolate,

Extras: Mrs Dash, spices, garlic, broths?, olive oil, peanut butter,

I eat mostly at work...and right now I'm to tired to think of anything else. Does anyone have anymore ideas for me?

    I'd add:

    - dried and canned beans. I use garbanzos and black beans the most, but also kidneys, navy beans and black eyed peas. Canned hominy makes an interesting change.

    - canned tomato products: diced, crushed, sauce, paste.

    - a bag of TVP.

Hmm... that's all I can think of for now... will post more if anything comes to me.

skip the tinned food. The peas arebetter frozen and you don't need the meat (go out for it if ou must. I have a (pipe) dream that one day meat eating in homes will fall by the wayside excepting the two big food holidays)
