Ashland, WI? That's about an hour from my hometown. I don't understand why anybody would want to move there.

The U.S. is a nightmare right now. Everything is illegal, and taxes up the ass. Which, just means monopolies and less jobs. I'm looking to move to Asia.

Don't move to Massachusetts or anywhere in New England...unless you enjoy snobby asshole douche monkeys.

I'd love to live in the deep south. Give me some New Orleans or even South Carolina.

funny if i moved anywhere close it would be ashland VA. which would be the third ashland in this thread from a different state.
anyway, from what i hear Austin Texas, Olympia Washington, and Portland Oregon are all pretty laid back cities.

it seems to me though that you are not looking to move that far west.

South Carolina is actually decent in certain places if you're looking for a hippie vibe.

I would really like to move to Austin, TX. I've never been but I'm all about any city with a good live music scene.

Is Rhode Island any good? I like the sound of it.
Plus, according to Wikipedia, the dominant religion is Roman Catholicism :sunny:

There are some really nice places in Little Rhodie but I would avoid Providence and most especially Newport (the former homes of the rich and famous)

I'd like to move to Denver. Never been there, so I guess I'd like to visit Denver and then make my decision, but my friend lived there for a good period of time when she was younger (she's my mother's age, so it's been some time) and I like the things she tells me about it. Of all the places I've been and have actual memory of, I'd really like to one day retire and grow old in a tiny town close to one of the lakes in southern Oklahoma. It's not that much different from small towns in Texas, where I've lived my whole life, but it's usually so much greener there and it's almost as though they are stuck back in time. Reminds me of childhood vacations (I have a lot of family in Oklahoma) and really happy times in my childhood.

There's tons of jobs there most american products people buy here are made there. I think you have to live in a slave camp though.
