I just got off the phone with Tonee who approved the Alexander Springs site for council and the ongoing idea of using the previous year's site for Florida Family Council. Florida Family Council is called for January 18, 19 & 20 and there is plenty of room for EVERYONE to attend, park and camp. I am also proposing that Council on Saturday focus on violence reduction and reaching consensus for the responsibility changes and adjustments at the front and along the road with Sunday focusing on the gathering itself and other issues, including scouting for next year. Because there are no changes (expected) to the Operating Plan and no site choices (as previously discussed), as well as Tonee being out of town, I have told the FS that we do not need a representative from them to attend council. If others disagree and feel we do need them there, that can be changed. More to come; Can't wait to see you all there; Much Love!
A-HO! So we get a public family council meeting after all. Yay! I guess my "hidden agenda" got accomplished. In light of this the January 5th circle is cancelled. And Barry... you owe me an apology. iYour comments were slanderous and incorrect and that was no way to talk to your tribal sister, or any sister for that matter... especially one just trying to do what is right for the family.
Looking forward to seeing all at Florida Family Council this upcoming weekend. For those not aware, Monday 1/21 is MLK Day and a day off to many who are commuting to & from Ocala in this gathering season. I propose a post council scouting trip into the site on Monday leaving the Council Site at Rainbow 11 AM and starting down the main trail at the 2013 (which remains TBA until the weekend) at Rainbow Noon. All are invited but this may be of special importance to Kitchen focalizers, especially those looking to feed main circle and/or hook up with main supply who may be looking to scout their kitchen sites. Thoughts?
