    TWO TOUGH QUESTIONS:

    Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already,

three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded,

and she had syphilis; would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before scrolling down to the answer of this one.

    Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts.

Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:

    Candidate A:

He associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.

He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

    Candidate B:

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college

and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

    Candidate C:

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, has a genius level IQ,

doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

    Decide first, no peeking,!!

and then scroll down for the answer.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt

    Candidate B is Winston Churchill

    Candidate C is Adolph Hitler

And by the way, the answer to the abortion question:

If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Remember amateurs built the ark - professionals built the Titanic...

    What do you do?

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

    1. An old lady who is about to die.

    2. An old friend who once saved your life.

    3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car? This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again. The candidate who was hired (out of 2000 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams." Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations.

I know what you mean, I just don't like to use great to describe horrors

Like the great crash of the two planes into the towers.

Or the great death toll from the rockets hitting the mess hall.
It may be technically defined that way, but that is one of my quirks.
Like terrible being used for good things, it can be
and terrific can be used for bad things.
    terribly terrific
    or terrificly terrible.
    I call Hitler Infamous.
Great Scot. look at the time!

Um, negatory. Rushing to war several years ahead of time against the advice of military men who knew more time was needed to gear up and opening up more fronts than resources could ever deal with are hardly the marks of a strategic genius.

    Here are some supporting examples.
    1. Dunkirk, hundreds of thousands of men trapped and he let them get away.
    2. In a repeat of Napolean's blunder, invaded Russia with summer gear, and lost many to the cold, (that was really dumb, cuz Napolean had done the same thing),
    3. D Day, a whole tank division sat idle cuz it was under his direct command and no one would wake him.
    4. Botched the battle of Britain, fell for their plan.....not smart.
    5. Forced his best general Erwin Rommel, to take his own life for plotting an assassination. It is a good thing Rommel was not running the whole show.
    6. ignored Werner von Braun's little 'atom bomb' project.
    7. Didnt put heaters in the VW Beetles. What was he thinking?

Yeah, invading Russia was obviously a huge mistake. In any kind of weather it's not smart. It's just too vast.

He started the whole war half-cocked, with far fewer U-boats than necessary, and a small surface fleet that could never've faced the Royal Navy head-on, as well (hence the commerce-raiding intentions).

There just wasn't enough sustainable industry to keep that kinda war machine rollin'...

Well, at least Standard Oil let him fill up his fleet at a fuel port on the coast of Spain, or he really would've been screwed......

And it sure was nice of those American banks to fund the building of his three "pocket battleships" [armored cruisers] at the beginning of the rearmament campaign.

    Yes, indeed.

And also a good thing the Allied bombers maps had circles around all the Ford factories or he would've lost those too.........

there is no such thing as a good war or a bad peace.

I had a late-night chat about this the other night...

Our concensus was that Hitler was one of the most brilliant, determined and strategic leaders of the last century...

UNTIL.. He went insane. Mad with Power.

A great analogy made earlier in the thread - Is a Mechanic a 'Genius' if he does indeed turn your Kia into a superb racing car..... then drives it into a crowded building destroying it and everyone around it?

But yes.. he was definately a 'Great' Man at his 'Peak'.
Unfortunately that went downhill very very fast.

The real shame of it all - He gave Nationalist Socialism a bad name for many a decade afterwards.

Problem was, he went insanely mad with power before the war started. That's why he started it too soon. He didn't prove any strategic brilliance - he refused himself the chance to.

He did defeat the horse cavalry in Poland armed only with Panzer tanks....

I believe Hitler was also chummy with dubya's grandaddy, Prentice? or Preston, his first name escapes me.

and also knew the Saxe-Coburg's quite well, too.

And it was a surprise to learn that high level financial moguls, who were German Jews were freely moving between the US and Deutschland during the war, the Warburg brothers for sure, and I think the Rothchildes too.

But how much did they know about the camps?
Well, the public sentiment shifted so much afterwards, it did end up being a key reason that the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was finally approved, and the state of Israel went ahead...........

Basically hitlers policy was based on the fear of the fact that Jews have bigger dicks then ethnic germans...

Dick fear has lead to most of the wars in the past century.
