Hey HipForums, I had a question for a first time trier of Salvia. I'll be using dried Salvia leaves and a VaporGenie. I want to start very low, just to get a taste of Salvia, and then work my way up with dosages. Here's the thing, I don't have a balance or anything to measure out anything. So here's my three questions:
    1) How much should I do for a very low dose?
    2) How would I measure it out without an instrument? (basically by eye) Maybe in terms of leaves?
    3) When I vaporize it, how do I inhale it? One deep inhalation of vapor?

And if you've read my other posts on HipForums, you'd see that I'm doing this is a precaution from experience with starting with too high of a dose with HBWR. I understand that Salvia is not recreational, but I would like to just get a small taste into the world of Sally and slowly work my way up.

Thanks guys, all of you are always so helpful and knowledgeable! :sunny:

How much would a single leaf do?

I'm not sure if that would work. Salvia has to be heated at a very high temperature to be affective, which are why torch lighters work way better than regular bic lighters. So I'm not sure if your vaporizer would heat it to the right temperature.

Take a look at the VaporGenie, I think it would work for it because you use a lighter for it. How many dried leaves would you think would work for a low dose?

Oh! I was thinking of one of the electric/battery powered ones. What strength extract is it? I would start out with a smaller sized bowl, just one good sized hit, use a torch lighter to burn, and inhale a deep hit and hold it in. Most people feel it before they exhale, so it will be natural to know when to breath it out.

hmm for your reference, look up the VaporGenie. It's actually just dried leaves, nothing else. I refuse to start high, because I did that being an ambitious beginner psychonaut with HBWR, and it just... was too much. I just want to start at the lowest you can be while still feeling somewhat of an effect. The whole problem is that I have no idea how to measure it because I don't have any instruments to do so. How many leaves should I do for a light effect? (nothing overwhelming, just really light)

If it isn't an extract, just pack as much as you can

So you have full leaves, not already broken up? Start off with just 1-2 leaves then. Break it up good, and put it in the bowl. Here's a first time guide I found online, since this will be a lot more thorough than myself.
