I live in apartment for 28 years, but do not have so much problems. 4-5 years ago, my neighbour was evicted (this word is correct?). He was violent, alcoholic, also would shoot lights and ceiling of apartment at any time.
My last apartment was really old construction with wood floors and I was on the second story. My downstairs neighbor turned out to be absolutely neurotic and would come into the hall screaming obscenities if I had to get out of bed and walk around for any reason late at night. Now I have an apartment with concrete floors and excellent sound insulation, but the problem I'm having is complaints about the smell of weed. Consequently I'm in search of a house to rent. I'd really love to give my dog a yard to play in as well.
I don't blame you for reporting the people above you. I think any time a child is in the midst of a situation like that, a responsible adult would definitely get "involved" if it is only to report it to the authorities. In really bad situations, if you actually confront the adult, said adult will say nothing to you, an adult...but will turn back to the child and take it out on the kid(s). I also am quite realistic and totally understand the foolishness of advising you to "just get out and rent your own place". duh...right? All you have to do is just pick that money off the money tree...and take it to that Perfect Landlord that will hook you right up with the Perfect Home for the exact right price. Make certain it is a house and not an apartment, fgs! :2thumbsup:
I know apartments do have there setbacks but i actually prefer them over houses...hell i even bught a condo when it came time to buying a home.
I couldn't do it. In all truth,I just could NOT do it. I think Mr Squirrel has the right answer here-if this thread is an accurate account of close-living......FORGET IT! Nope. Puggybear Towers is isolated, through miles of fields, turning to marshland, over a causeway,to get onto my island. MY island. I bought it. I own it. YOU can fuck off. Am I antisocial? No. Do I like people? Individually, yes. But I HONESTLY can't live among the pushy, selfish, impatient, prying, arrogant SHIT that calls itself 'humanity'. Just can NOT do it. I love my remote island. I can hear geese. I can run my amp stack to max and rip out AccaDacca riffs,etc...no complaints. I can rev my bike/boat/truck/car...no complaints. I can walk with my pooches not on leads...no complaints. Don't get me wrong, you are all WONDERFUL people [have a hug] but my residence has to be my sanctuary. [gonna go complain to those noisy geese on the beach!]
I live on the third floor. I guess I sorta like apartments. Small & cozy works for me. If someone doesn't like noise above them then shouldn't they have moved to the first floor?..
call child services for that poor child upstairs. something should be done in a safe manner if it's possible.
I'd go crazy if I lived in an apartment. Sometimes I just get the urge to go outside and putter around the garden for a few hours or work on my car in the garage. I couldn't imagine not having that option. Hotwater
Agreed. Yeah, it's sad how he has his own opinion about it, which is different from yours. Calling child services for something that might be domestic violence, and not even knowing the people...
