I am so with you RetiredHippie! I love Christmas so much and I always have and I see nothing wrong with that. I like Christmas carols, I like winter, I love brandy and eggnog, I love baking Christmas cookies and making wreaths and having a tree in the house. I don't care if other people don't like it, but it is really not necessary for them to tell other people they aren't allowed to like it.
personally i enjoy the midwinter's eve season, whatever anyone else may or may not call it. neither belief nor economics has a blessed thing to do with that. people being nice to each other and the smell of pine needles does. that is how i have always seen it and what is important about it, all of my life. (i would not and do not, call that being "anti" anything. it is the fanatics who are anti-everything. even whatever they use as an excuse for being so)
The tone of this response only goes to prove the point I made in my previous post. Oh, and that's not mine, it's the one you seem to be digging for yourself.
Purposely riling people up seems a strange hobby for a jolly, peace loving, Christmassy sort of soul... People need to just live and let live, be you pro or anti Christmas. Both sides are as much entitled to their feelings about it as the other. As long as you're not actually telling people who enjoy Christmas that they shouldn't be doing so, then there should be no issue. Simply disliking Christmas should not be an issue for those who do like it, but it appears that for some people, it is. And I'm not reffering to the OP, or anyone in particular, it's just a general observation. lol
Its a hobby, would you join me in a cup of Egg Nog with a shot or two of Jack Daniels in the Seasons spirits?
Absolutely. I was supposed to be working this year - but now I'm not. I get to give him my present on the day this year.
I just now signed in as I was away with the kids on a little holiday and what do I see, the cutest little one has been posted!! Thanks for posting the pic as it made my day.
