Well, I've had this re-occuring dream for a few months now, and I'd like to see some sense made of it.

I start out in a damp basement like room, a door that seems like a outside cellar door, but inside. There's one person, a male mid 30's early 40's.
(the conversation I have with him is always different) but, also always ends with me recieving a polished green stone.
After the stone is in my possesion there's suddenly two more men early 20's and another 30's-40's. I have come to the conclusion they want the stone, near death experience everytime, but I manage to escape through the cellar door, which has a masterlock on it, but I pull it, and it always unlocks and I escape just in time.

Now this is where it gets weird...

Once I emerge from the previous basement area, I find myself in an amber hue feild, with two houses on the side of a hill.
As the dream progresses, I meet a younger boy, about 5 foot, blonde hair and green eyes, he seems harmless, and inoccent.
Then I start to go through a series of 4 people, in first person. The boy I met before is killing them, while I'm in their body.

#1 I get stabbed to death, but never see the culprit
#2 I'm in the feild, a giant snake is trying to kill me, I slit its throat, then as I do I see a hatchet in my chest, and the boy scurrying into a wooded area
#3 Face down on the ground, a silhouette of the boy ripping my spine out is casted on the wall near me, cannot move. At this point I always wake up, and I can't move, but I try with all my might to avoid the rest of the dream, I always fall back into it
#4 I'm running in between both houses near the hill, I hear insanly fast running, I jump on the porch, and then off the railing going down the hill, and right as I'm about to hit the ground, a giant shadow ingulfs me, and I wake up, but fall back into it.

Now the rest of the dream is always different, but it consists of me ravvaging buildings for something until I finally find the stone again, and the second I pick it up I hear a laughter, and I wake up, and I always feel a feeling i've never felt.

If anyone could make sense of this... I'd appreciate it..

sure. it means you're a p-shifter. a psionic were creature of some sort. no big thing really. and the green stone is your heart. sort of. or at least that's one way of looking at it. since all your being killed didn't really kill you, or you were able to adopt another body for each one you were killed in, you may also have encountered some creature whom dream shaping is their natural psionic defense. or just some annoyingly playful dream-spirit messing with your mind. considering the immortality of our own spirits in the dream universe, call it a participatory entertainment, like a roll playing game. i wouldn't make any big bad thing out of it. or try to make of it any bigger of a deal.

there are a lot of kinds of story telling that can be made out of this kind of a dream too. several well known authors appreciate having them.

if you have met a dream world antagonist, it could mean simply that you need one for a sparring partner. i don't mean to imply that everything has to be harmless, but if we avoid creating negative karma in waking life, our dreaming selves can be pretty resilient to this sort of thing.

Thanks for the reply, I know it has been a while since I posted this.

I still have the dream, and I don't let it bother me. and since then I have adopted even more re-occurring dreams that I enjoy having. I think you were right about the "sparring partner" since I am usually accompanied in these re-occurring dreams with a similar boy. as crazy as it may sound, I almost feel like I know him by now? I have become more aware in my dreams as well, I've always had lucid dreams... but now it's a new level I hadn't imagined possible. I can't change the outcome entirely, but I'm there consciously, and have control of myself, and influence of others.
