Do you think there is a conspiracy against suicidal people? I think there is. It's always mean people, people who want to rather see other people remain suffering than free from suffering, that will try their best to come against the people who are suicidal. What I mean by come against is this... they'll try to stop a person from commiting suicide in one way or another. Even if it means getting the person locked in a psych ward. But that just slows the person down. If someone really wanted to commit suicide, there is no way to really prevent it in the short or long run, you know? What if in the Ultimate Reality one rewards themself the most for commiting suicide? What if there is life beyond death and that life there is a most wonderful thing? Why try to stop someone from obtaining their life beyond death wealth? I believe you don't obtain pure wealth until you cross over into life beyond death. I also think because of that that suicide is actually pretty badass. But that is my opinion, what's your's? You sure are dishonoring yourself by choosing to stay suffering. How can you be a coward if you commit suicide if it's just you honoring yourself by loosing suffering? Note: A physical earthling body can be killed, but the spirit can not be killed. And because of that... is there really a such thing as suicide then? It depends on what is the self. Is the self the spirit or is it the physical body?
You do realize that in many states suicide is a capital felony punishable by death. You die a felon. What will your great great grand children think?
If you want to kill yourself, it's not hard to get around. Go off by yourself and do it. It's pretty simple if you don't talk about it.
I don't think it's a conspiracy--I think it's concern for the well being of fellow humans who cannot see the forest for the trees,as it were.
Seifish? Have you seen families treat each other savagely like total strangers over the least bit of an estate. As far as grandchildren are concerned many will only know what they see in public records.
The only time I support suicide is when a person is very ill. As in they will not get better, just suffer slowly till death. At that point I think that person has the right to make that decision for themselves. But for someone to want to die just because life is difficult, of course someone should stop them. I have had family members commit suicide, and it's a painful thing to deal with for those left behind. My aunt came home to my cousin after he shot himself her living room a bloody mess. I am sure those that know you would not want that to happen to you. IMO the real honor comes from sticking around and learning your life's lessons. You are here for a purpose, you are not evolving as a soul if you quit early.
How do you measure degree of illness, outlook, or suffering? A mental state can be so debilitating as to view the parameters you speak of as applying to themselves. My opinion is no one moves a persons diaphragm except themselves and no one can substitute themselves for another's despair. Their life is kingdom they alone can rule.
nobody chose to live so i have no problem with someone who dosnt want to. i have come to think that doing yourself in at home when you live with others is a bit selfish but i dont think a truly depressed person is thinking about that. i mainly agree with unfocused that this is the only life we know of so you might as well get whatever you can out of it. the best we can tell the afterlife is infinite but our time on earth is short. it would be like giving up an ounce of gold for all the sand on a beach. as for dopes question IMO i measure it as an illness that is painful and makes death imminent. although if something like that happened i would if at all possible go out with a bang. (in a good way not in a shotgun way)
Killing one's self is very easy. When people constantly talk about it, or "attempt" it, you know that they don't REALLY want to die. It's called a plea for help. So stop it and get the help you need. If you where going to kill yourself you would have been dead long before you first came on here and tried to get us to all off ourselves with you. You are not going to kill yourself and you do need help, so stop talking about killing yourself and get that help.
That's true, there is allot of room to interpert what "too sick" is. I would say something like you have terminal cancer that is spreading, you know you have 6 months to live. If you lived that 6 months yoy would end up needing 24 hour care, and allot of your dignity would be gone due to being unable to do the simplest things such as use the bathroom. Allot of doctors object to this because they consider this selfish. Like you are vain and you simply don't want to get old. This is what I don't like abut western medicine, we are fine putting an animal out of it's misery when we know it will only suffer, and the animal did not make the choice to die. Yet we deny a human who can make that choice that option.
i have seen turtles flip themselves on their back on purpose and have seen whales beach themselves. just talking though i actually have been saying what you just did for years now.
Just look at all of the anguish and public hand wringing over suicides of Rutgers Uv. Student: Tyler Clemente....and also. Royal Nurse:Jacintha Saldanha. These suicides seek to amplify the drama and turmoil which infected their lives, spreading it to the population at large........ Don't know where the word: "Conspiacy" fits in here. Perhaps we should ask the professional staff on San Francisco,s: Golden Gate Bridge, who has suicide response team 24/7.
That's a vague statement. Suicide causes anguish. But that doesn't necessarily mean that people who commit suicide are trying to impose their anguish on other people.
