best way to store and keep pot for long periods of time?

My dad was asking me. I said a Mason jar but I wasn't too sure. We might be getting more pot this x-mas Matt wants to sell the rest of his pot he grew. And we are number 1 on his list of people he wants to sell it too. What about a peanut butter jar? my dad said he has one I think its glass. he also said what about putting it in the freezer? I didn't think that was a good idea

A lot of people use mason jars. Just make sure it's good and dry before storing.

The freezer will knock off all the trichomes. A mason jar at room temperature, and out of direct light should preserve it for a long time.

 

I agree with the Mason jars, however, I have never stored any for a long period of time.

I think that's a myth and only happens at -40 or something. I had a debate about that before. No freezer is at -40.

 

it takes me a long time to smoke what I have. there are some days I won't smoke at all and it will be just sitting. Plus living with someone who is not cool with it. I need it not to reek as soon as you walk in my room and I haven't even smoke any pot

 

there are 2 things to take into consideration when you plan on storing your weed for a long time. the first is the container you store it in. you should never store it in anything plastic. don't store it in a jar with a metal lid on it. the lid can seize up. I store mine in air tight jars with glass lid that has a locking mechanism as shown in the image that I am going to post. Secondly, you should store it in a cold dark dry place. I store mine in the cold room down in the basement. You want to avoid heat and light and moisture. That pretty well sums it up.

If the aroma is a problem, try a vaporizer. I began using one a few months ago and there is no smell and my weed last about three times longer due to using such a minute amount.

Vaporizer is for smoking weed right? I'm talking about as soon as I open my bag up my room reeks I need it to store in my closet in some kind of jar or something these tuperwear containers with 4 bags is not doing it
