Twas the night before Chatmas

i'm just going to mention that that post wasn't intended to start yet another argument, i truly deeply thought and think that it's kinda wrong to put a 13 year old through all that, it'll stick with him forever, nobody will be able to read his mind and tell him what his issues are, only he can do that... He's probably just an emotional kid and things are getting worse due to hormones and whatnot.. Plus he's lazy as hell, he doesn't like doing anything involving him getting off his computer playing his games..

I just personally don't believe in therapy or medication to solve issues... Mental issues, thomas, we're not talking about physical paraplegic issues here

edit, just read your post... Dude, we're not talking about schizophrenia or anything like that that he can't control.. Yes, if he had that.. Then i would agree he needs help and some form of medication.. He doesn't have that.. You don't know him like i do, obviously.. If anything it's mild depression.. But again, he's been through nothing that i haven't.. The only possible way that could be is if stuff happens at school that we're all unaware of.. But i don't even think that's the issue, a lot of people like him at school.. If i go anywhere with him all the kids he sees and knows from school will come up saying hi to him and all that stuff, he looks like he gets along with mostly everyone fine..

 

Well then, I suggest you ask a friend to hit you in the head as hard as he can with a baseball hat.

At that point in time, you may grasp that the mind is a physical object that can suffer damage and how it effects the way you think.

mental health issues are always hard for family to accept...this i know from personal experience and massive exposure to this problem in various ways.....

you cant tell this kid anything...he's a know it all and would rather see his brother suffer than attempt a doctors visit... obsessive defiance disorder(my guess] is not something that you can ''tough out''

i gave my fellow rep whore some love yesterday without having to be asked...kinda like putting my finger in my girlfriends ass when she didnt ask for it lol

dude came again to service the wood stove...it was like a class...he taught me all kinds of useful things about the stove,thermal dynamics..etc..

in the summer i had about a dozen birds flying right down the stove pipe and they would be in my woodstove in the morning...i would shoo them out with a broom..so we screened it midsummer...the screen was clogged tight causing my smoke problem...all fixed

After seeing the pain it causes when someone suggests that people with mental disorders, "suck it up", "get over it", "tough it out" and so on, I have come to the conclusion that those that say this shit, should fully expect a fist to follow rapidly.

What ever happened to compassion and caring? Those are things that everyone should be practicing with everyone else. The fact that family sometimes has the hardest problem accepting these things, just goes to show that they lack compassion.

It also demonstrates that regardless of everything else, there are serious issues in their family, after all, if they can't show caring and compassion to their own flesh and blood (especially a sibling), they can't call themselves family to anyone.

It is. Almost like someone forgot to flip the winter switch.
