I much prefer the company of my cat to most people, in fact any animal to most people.

 

Perfect answer! Agreed on both points. I do feel a special bond with cats, and see them as sacred, but I do like dogs, and I definitely prefer them to people. lol

My cat does help with the loneliness I have to say. It would probably be unbearable if it wasn't for him. My current cat, and the one I had before him are like guardian angels to me.

 

There's one dog I had that I will never forget. She would only eat cat food (Fancy Feast), and she always managed to open the front gate and would disappear for days at a time. We never did figure out where she'd been off to. But she always came back home. My guess is she had found a second home -- another place she could go to for extra helpings of Fancy Feast.
