Need help understanding my first experience

So first off, I now understand what I've read about salvia being the weirdest hallucinogenic drug out there. It's not an experience that you can really put into words. Anyways, to the point. I had my first salvia trip today after 2 unsuccessful attempts yesterday. I purchased a red level 1/2 gram bag of salvia zone brand from my local smokeshop (40mg/g of Salvinorin A). Loading a very small pinch of the flakes into my glass bowl, I lit the entire bowl and kept the flame on it After all the material had been burned I held the smoke for 20 seconds and exhaled. What followed was about 5 or 10 minutes max of a strange body high, almost like acceleration felt slower than normal like the atmosphere was more dense or something. After trying again and getting the same reaction I was very disappointed with my purchase and gave up. Today I was feeling good, had the house to myself, and made the decision to attempt another trip into salvia zone. I loaded the rest of the 1/2 gram bag into the bowl of my glass pipe (which was eyeballed and appeared to be around 1/4 gram) and torch the whole thing. I managed to burn the majority of it and held the smoke for 30 seconds. Before blowing the smoke out I put the pipe down next to me and was prepared to lie down once I felt it hit me. Almost instantaneously I realized I was holding the pipe that I had put down and that I had no idea what I was doing, who I was, or what was going on. I looked at the pipe and the smoke appeared to be suspended in the spirals that were slowly coming from the bowl. They almost looked as if they were solid, and the world was slowly sliding downwards. I was half aware of these strange things occuring, but for some reason I did not understand why they were happening nor did I care. After a minute or two I started feeling more normal and started trying to figure out what happened to me. I'm not bothered by this experience at all, and it wasn't at all unpleasant. What I'm curious about is did I have a full blown trip in that time and not even know it? Or did I just barely get a decent trip? Any insights would be appreciated.

 

yea your trips aren't happening or are not what you expect because you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

This plant is alive... give to us by the universe.

You have to chew it or smoke it ( which I don't agree with) and then want to see what it offers you.

If you are afraid you might have a bad time and if you don't think it will work sometimes it don't even get some enlightened because they don't believe.

Have a good friend with you and tell them not to laugh or make noise. No tv. or music.

You are about to leave this world and see the real universe.

I think the plant "KNEW" not to affect you..... you aren't ready
