I have nothing against punk, but its not really my thing. My music preferences are: Goth metal, heavy metal, new age music, and 70's rock n' roll. peace and love xxxxxx
Don't mind punk, but its not my thing. Classic rock and jam bands are my thing. It stinks about classic rock, cause they're all dead. And it sucks about jam bands, cause of my age. I cant really go to any concerts, cause i'd be the youngest person there. So, right now, i just have to resort to nugs.net.
Mainly a fan of old rock.. Doors, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, you name it. I like alot of older punk, I'm a HUGE Ramones fan, I love the older greenday (cant stand their new shit I think they selling out), and I'm a big ska fan (hence the username) I aslo dig alot of swing, blues, and indy. CANT STAND EMO
Age has nuffin to do with concerts, a lot of local bands would love to see younger people supporting their music.
I like some punk... I love the Clash and the Ramones. But mostly I listen to classic rock and other bands from the 60s/70s. I love the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Who, etc.
the only punk i really like is the clash and the ramones as well. Other then that im not a fan of punk, at all. I went to a punk show last friday and all it was, was just a bunch of same beat songs that when really fast, with lots of yelling and shitty guitars...well i dont think i wanna say more about it, im just not a fan of punk...
Oh i dont really 'know' any 'punk' bands..cept the ramones...and theyre cool. i dont know about the 'new' punk tho haha! but anyways i mostly listen 2 like all music from the 60s..rock n roll, surf, motown, psychedelic/acid rock, folk, sunshine pop...but i listen 2 alot of everything elce from the 40s, 50s, 70s,80s,90s!! but 60s is just my favorite, thats all. DOORS!
I Like anything and will listen to almost any music if it has a purpose apart from trying to make money. But i dont like boppery music.
I guess I can stand everything, maybe except for rap, r&b, hip hop, soul etcetera, but beyond that I don't really confine myself to musical genres. My main focus however is on metal, especially black metal. I also like to listen to classic and modern rock and also pop, though I'm not really into anything done with mainly keyboards, like trance and all. Still, I could listen to it, but I prefer the singer-songwriter type of pop music.
Pretty much everthing... Alternative Ambient/Eno/Goth rock Bluegrass Celtic Chamber/Classical (baroque, medieval, renaissance, romantic) Christian (alternative, contemporary, cultural, r&b, rap) Classic rock/Psychedelic rock Club/Dance Country Ethnic Gospel Grunge Metal (use to listen to death) Modern rock Oldies (40's, 50's, early 60's) Opera Orchestral Pop (some) Punk Rap/Hip hop (not too much anymore) R&B/Soul The only genres I don't really like are Techno and Smooth Jazz aka "Elevator music"
What I like... mostly psychedelic rock, 60's rock, bebop jazz, classic blues, spearhead, ani d, keller williams, blind melon, white stripes... probably more too
The only punk I really like would be "proto-punk" bands such as the Velvet Underground, the MC5, the Stooges, etc.
anything and everything I guess, not a single genre of music I wouldn't try at least once and there's not a single genre I've tried so far where I've not enjoyed a piece of music. favourites being psychedelic-rock, acid-folk and wyrd-folk, krautrock, 60's and 70's soul, funk, jazz, 60's garage punk, 70's punk, late 80's acid house, electronica, IDM, Motown, 60's girl bands, new wyrd-folk, 70's Glam rock, late 70's New Wave, early 80's post punk, New Romantic (must be very pissed to admit that one LOL), trip-hop, and BOWIE as he deserves his own genre IMHO , could go on and on I guess
