for all those who don't know, my husband and I are forming an intentional community near chico ca. check out our site: www.co-operativeeffort.com . I am in need of some nice female energy around and would love to find some people to come join us and help us get this going. Nothing is built yet and we are still in the process of acquiring the land. But check out our site and contact us if interested. I have a new little one and it would be nice for someone else with a baby to come and join us so that our baby Julia could have a friend. Thanks for reading this.

Thats great!, but I think you will be better off if you try to change the community in which you live. May be if you start something smaller like a community development association that will help people where you live, then that would benefit all.

I agree that both ideas a good because they are for the better of the community. Although an eco friendly housing development in which you live off the land is far better for everyone in the long run...sometimes it's just hard to see the big picture of things.
