Not in the least. What is the same is the same and what is different is different. The least irritation is the same as the greatest catastrophe and the least interest is the same as the greatest devotion. You can only entertain one conscious thought at a time. The difference between interest and devotion is the degree of emotional charge or intensity sponsoring the thought. The effects of both interest and devotion are the same, as long as you are interested. And, each thought resonates into the environment.

The only difference is in degree, not in type of action. In your case the motivator is the claim that you are fighting cruelty. Cruelty is an arbitrary term. The motive for the patriot act is to fight terrorism, another arbitrary term. And government, or whatever authority, becomes the go to remedy because whoever, is not behaving the way I want them to.
You seem to object to the way the system functions but in this instance you call upon the system to serve your purposes. It is fortunate for the dogs then that your purpose is temporarily helpful to them. This I don't see as much considered as matter of taste or inclination, a matter of chance.

You know that such arbitrary terms are used as cause to inhibit the freedoms of some. Compassion is not the same as dumb passion.

My dogs don't need straw but you misinterpret what I say if you think I am suggesting you are unworthy in any way. I am telling you that your empathy is inconsistent if you find it lacking in any place, as would be mine.

The picture of your claimed contributions is somewhat murky to me do to the inconsistent representation of the numbers. Two, fifty, a single event, over a number years, made somebody do their job, provided straw yourself?

That would be amenable to me. You've made several posts telling me what I am about, in this thread or otherwise. But I understand that this is mechanical response. The system reacts to the foreign body by calling upon the immune system, the defense, system.

What am I about in this thread is that americans are not letting an offense go by, and that is why it continues. It is why you see Glen beck and why so many see nobility there. We project our own conceptions and thereby deny our recognition of them, insisting that they are foreign to us.
