Me again, still looking for help. We live in northern BC, 2-3 hours from Prince George. My partner is suffering from a recurring pericarditis and won't be able to work for the next half year or so and we desperately need someone to help out on the farm. Cows, sheep, turkeys etc. There is a cabin on the place that could be fixed up if you have 2 good hands and a head on your shoulders!! Pleeeeeeeaaaase contact me!!
i have a friend out in BC right now who might be interested in this, or who might know some people who would be interested. you can private message me with a phone number or e-mail address if you'd like, and i can pass it on to him. hope everything works out for you.
work for rent. there aren't that many hours to work, just someone who is healthy and fit needs to do it!! there are cows, sheep, and turkeys and a garden to be taken care of. the work is very seasonal and often not that much.
no pot growing on the farm, sorry. i work with foster children, everyone here has to have a criminal record check. clean living only!
too expensive up here in the north anyway! we have 6 months of winter, you need expensive equipment to grow stuff!! not really worth it!
Should have just left it with the foster kid excuse. There are strands that mature in one months time, and you dont need expensive equipment. BC is one of the top producing areas in the world. Just sayin
LOL, just goes to show that i have no experience with the stuff. but as far as i know, southern BC is the major growing area. big grow op here get busted every now and then but they are indoor operations.
thanks!! i am a host on the woofer site but there aren't too many winter woofers travelling! i am trying every avenue i can think of!! thanks again!!
a little slack...some people dont have the educational benefits that you 2 rocket scientists have had
we are north America so they are right. BC is in northern north America which is also called Canada peru etc is in south America get it
This could be a good deal for someone, yes they wont make a stack of money but their lives may be enriched in other ways with work and a differing type of social contact....I hope you find the right person that is a real fit with you and your lifestyle.
Hello! Ive seen some of your posts about your farm up there in BC it seems very nice. Also i think i saw you work with children with disabilities, a very cool connection for i too work with children! Currently no one in my group with a severe disability but i have had a few before and can relate to the happiness you feel working with and helping children, disability or not! Just a connection between us i thought id mention it was on my mind. this seems like a very good living situation for me the only thing that is deterring me is the cold weather, im not a big fan. Maybe you can convince me its not too bad and give me some more info? Hopefully you can sway me! I posted something in the help wanted on this site the other day when i found this site if you want info on what im looking for -Kyle
My ol high school Honda Civic is being fixed and could use a good drive. Update us if help is still needed.
