I disagree. for you to judge someone else you don't know and call them mentally ill is wrong and you should recognize that. you don't know what the secret to life is, so don't act like people ending theirs is somehow wrong or abnormal. it's their life and they need to do what they need to do to find peace. you happen to have had a better hand dealt to you or maybe you haven't fully matured yet, you are probably still in the stage of life where you just want things, you want sex, food, money, power. that's not life and that's not living. happiness doesn't truly come from material possessions. you are blinded, sorry to say..

I judged no one. It is a fact that people who commit suicide need help. Happy, content people don't kill themselves.

But I really don't think there is much point in talking to you because you are obsessed with the death of others. You want everyone else to die but yourself. Are you going to start killing people soon? How long before this obsession escalates?

The earth will be here long after we are extinct, and it will be just fine. So get over it.

Sometimes death is more mysterious, what lies beyond this crap? What makes suicide beautiful is the non existant fear for death. Imagine living like that. Some people find death better due to our twisted society. I think if a person has accepted that he is dead, or realized that theres no death to fear, should rethink his life and live life to the fullest and leave when you have done everything and start to get bored. To leave mid life is like jumping out of a train half way there. Yeah , you get to the destination more quickly, but whats more important, the road or the destination? When you are on the road, everything should be meaningless exept the road you are on. If i were to commit suicide i would prbably do it at the age of 50-60. Lifes pretty pointless beyond that, all you have is the past, no future. If i was hard and strong, yeah, i would probably live a little longer, but if my health was catching up with me, i would call it quits or make the final crusade and do something exiting.

 

wonderfully put. finally someone who understand the ideas i'm talking about. this isn't radical at all, once humans reach a certain age they are more or less useless and taking up resources. so for that i would have physician assisted there for the seniors who are clearly unhappy and feel like a burden, give them the option to die with some dignity and free up some monies for the younger generation who are more important anyway.

but we do need to make decisions on the degenerates out there who drink all day or do drugs all day living off the taxes of the productive. there needs to be life/death decisions from a higher council to rid us of their ignorance and just plain inferiority..

who says so? we send troops overseas to kill innocent civilians? people die everyday, there are murders everyday and what you view as murder is not what we view it as. we are releasing wretched souls from their chains. it's actually humanitarian. and why do you care about these people? they are nobodies, they are nothings. they are taking up space. this should be a no brainer.

 

It's a touchy subject, and it usually depends on the situation. However I normally find that suicide victims lack strength. They can't and aren't strong enough to battle shitty life like the rest of us. It's sad but in the end I always tell people do what makes them happy...

But the topic of this thread is "suicide." Your examples have nothing to do with suicide so they are out of the context of this thread. The decision to terminate someone else's life is not suicide.

If someone contemplates suicide, it is an extremely personal matter. No person, other than the one contemplating suicide, is qualified (in my opinion) to make that final decision.

It might be humanitarian but taking the life of someone else is not suicide.

My level of care for "those people" is irrelevant. Even if they are nobodies and nothings, I do not have a right to terminate their lives.

 

Most of "the strong" do not have the strength to commit suicide.

 

To get my response to the original topic out the way: It leans toward selfish in most cases, but I think people should be allowed the choice. However, before they commit, a heavy dose of <insert entheogenic substance here>, or a decent therapy session with <insert empathogenic substance here> should be administered.. none of this couch bullshit.

depends on the suicide... sometimes it's just a waste, it's often sad... it can be beautiful, dependent on reasons and method... it can be messy... it can be selfish... but mainly, i think it is pointless... you just go back to square one and have to overcome that obstacle all over again...
