I have been doing some reading and have some worry. I play golf once a week and like to have a few beers while on the golf course after taking a norco 7.5/325. I like the way it makes me feel loose and with a good buzz. After I get done I like to take another one 4 to 5 hours later and have a few more drinks and play some video games for 5 or so hours. I like the way it feels. I only do this once a week and do not have a addictive personality. My only concern is I hear people talk that this is a lethal combination. I always eat something and drink some non alcholic beverages before going to sleep. Since it is such a low dose is can the combo still be lethal? I do not drink a whole bottle of liquor or anything crazy like that. Can still walk straight and can talk. I just do not want to go to sleep and not wake up. Thank you!

I think that reply could be said for a good majority of the discussions on here. I enjoy the way it make me feels. My question was can it be lethal when done in moderation. But hey thanks for your witty reply.

I used to mix beer and Hydrocodone almost every day, and not in moderation. I can't lie, it's a good, euphoric buzz. I believe the problem is that alcohol activates enzymes that in turn change the acetominophen metabolites into forms that attack your liver. If that's wrong, then somebody please explain it. This doesn't mean that if you have a few beers and pop a few Vicodin that you'll definitely develop liver failure. But you might. I got away with it, but maybe I was just lucky. I don't do it any more though. But it's not something I would recommend. It's such a good buzz that it's easy for once a week to turn into twice a week, then every other day, then every day.

Thanks! yes it is a good 4 or 5 hours of fun. I can see how easily it can turn into a habit. But I have no means of getting large quanities of them. A friend gives me two when we play, he has chronic back problems. My only concern was how the alcohol and norco attatck the central nervous sysytem. I dont drink but on the weekends, so I assume my liver is ok. Just would hate to stop breathing in my sleep. Probably just being paranoid, but you see some stories on the news.

Opiates and alcohol don't mix well. I don't want to scare you but, thats a lie, I do want to scare you. A buzz isn't worth dieing over.. I am not being judgemental at all. If you are looking for buzz just please be safe. Mixing those to drugs is dangers. The folks that od like that everything day I am sure thought they knew what they were doing also. It just isn't worth the risk.

I don't know what you mean by attacking the central nervous system. Both drugs act as CNS depressants though. If you take too much Hydrocodone by itself it can cause breathing problems, and if you add alcohol to the mix you can compound it. But in moderation it shouldn't be a problem. Just try not to mix the two. It's hard to get a new liver. Other opiods like Oxy won't have the acetominophen to worry about, but Oxy causes a buzz that doesn't go well with alcohol.
