As far as the Clay goes, you might like this. http://www.practicalprimitive.com/skillofthemonth/processingclay.html As far as firing, http://www.nativetech.org/pottery/firing.htm An old bathtub should make a nice replacement for tin sheets if you want to fire large quantities of small ceramic bottles or earthenware mason jars.
well im trying to leave where i'm at within the next month, so i'll probobly be there before the end of the year. e-mail me at: keithj_1120_AT_gmail_DOT_com ^^delete the underscores ... just incase we lose contact thru hipforums
ok... cool...... yea cause the only reason i signed up for hip forums is cause i followed the bunny trails to your thread.... hahaha
oh yea.... i have a group of like 15+ dreadlocked hippies from around the world on another forum im a member of wanting to start a community, possibly in the ky/tenn area.... they are waiting patiently for me to find out if this is legit or not... they wanna do the self sustaining community thing with hobbit holes in the hills.... lol...
that's all do-able. but to start, they will need to be able to support themselves atleast alittle. 15 people will be wayyy to many people to support at first, as much as we'd want to
My boyfriend and are interested in visiting your commune. We currently are just drifting unsure where to settle down. We are part of the rainbow family but we both like to drink. I own a camper nut no land to put it on. I am in knoxville right now but heading to corbin KY tomorrow. Hit us up with the address so we can check it out.
hello time to live i read with interest your 850 acres land ect. id like to come visit sometime soon. i hope to end up somewhere where i can tinker and build sculpters ectalso im looking for a kind community this sounds interesting to me hope to hear from you soon
hey tablets, looks like i'll be back there around christmas and billfus, the sculpter/art thing is a great idea, we're definetly interested in that kind of stuff
Hey guys! I just read your posts and I am excited to learn that you are so close to where I currently live (lexington) I am not new to the idea of living off of the grid and thriving in nature, however, I am 30 years old and have never (outside of camping a couple of times) actually followed through with my dreams of doing so. I do have some experience in gardening, but honestly aside from that I am not sure what else I would be able to offer. I would love to come and visit and discuss what your goals and plans are for this land you want to turn into an oasis! Please contact me and let me know what I would need to bring etc. again, please keep in mind this is all new to me but I am definitely wanting to give it a whirl! Love and Light
me and 2 friends are going on the road in about a week and would love to stop by and help with any projects. we are looking for a place to rest our heads for a little and was wondering how to get in touch?
Hi! Im very interested in possibly a permanant residence with me and possibly 2 others, boy and girl. As long as you are 420 friendly and are okay with growing some (not large amounts, just enough to support the community) i will help however possible and have money to contribute. Please let me know! changalang4lyfe@live.com :sunny:
