I don't know if you guys have issues with getting hats to fit with your dreads but I've run into the problem a few times.

Somethings just aren't designed for us.

Yeah, my tam doesn't really hold my dreads any more. I just wear it as a hat and wrap my dreads around my neck as a scarf. :2thumbsup:

Yeah. It's slightly disappointing, I look good in hats.lol
I can still find hats built for big heads that will fit proper over my dreads. And trucker hats with the adjusters will fit

I just ordered a jersey fabriced deerstalker from ebay.
It's a men's large, so I'm hoping it'll at least fit with my hair down.

Helmets don't fit me, which is annoying. But hats designed with dreadlocks in mind like big beanies and tams still fit.

Loads of people here are crafty. I'm sure they can make up hats in any size you specify.

Probably don't stretch to hard hats though!

I've always hated how hoods (on coats, sweatshirts) never seem to be big enough :(

Make your own! Crochet is pretty simple (and rather fun) when you get the basics :)

I'm gonna be making some slouchy beanies soon, I'll make one massive to test on dreads xD Also Tams are pretty simple... I could try and make one of those bigger to accommodate the mahoosive dreads of Folk.

totally with you on the hoods not fitting, its really annoying on a wet windy day that you cant just throw up a hood. also as a man who has around fifty hats in his collection of which i can now wear two..... a trilby and a Top hat..... i am uber disappointed that i cannot use them all regularly

Got my new hat. It barely fits. I can only wear it with my hair straight down.
    But it looks great!!

I just gotta dye it now.

Looks like I can stretch it.
The dye went well and now that it's still damp I'm stretching it by wearing it.
It may end up a perfect fit, after all.
