http://theintelhub.com/2012/10/04/p...fiscates-1624-daisies-in-suburban-garden-raid I dont even know what to say..... WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!!!!! (Cant tell the difference between a daisy and pot??) THE GUY SHOULD SUE FOR EVERY DIME!!
That doesn't even seem possible. Also, 1600 is a LOT LOT LOT of daisies! Good Lord! Daisies are not little bitty plants either. I've very recently been "schooled" on redirecting threads. (ha) This couldn't be some kind of hoax, could it? I read quickly over that article, and it never did reveal where this happened other than a "suburbian" garden, unless it was hidden in the one line I didn't read carefully enough. Why wouldn't they make clear where these doofus cops did this? Whatever, even a grade-school child could tell the difference...and the SMELL! of daisies is (lol) totally different than weed, which is a "loud" smell...to say the least. That makes me smdh.
Hopefully he gets some monetary compensation, and his other charges dropped. But isn't canada approaching as fucked as we are, on drugs?
Nope, not really. Possession here is still pretty insignificant. It is getting worse though, with mandatory minimum sentences for growing and/or selling. 6-200 plants is mandatory sentence of at least 6 months. I bet there are a lot of people growing 5 plants in their closets.
Typical cop behavior. So excited over making the bust, they don't care what it is. All that matters is media attention.
Lucretia It was within a link in the article - not the article itself. If that makes sense. It’s blooming embarrassing, is what it is. The best part: police still won’t admit the plants they seized in what was supposedly the biggest outdoor marijuana bust in Lethbridge history are plain old flowers — daisies, to be precise. http://www.calgarysun.com/2012/10/0...outdoor-bust-in-lethbridge-history-wasnt-weed I read 'Calgary Sun'. I did not read further... This was the judgment of veteran officers from the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team — supposedly the best drug squad this province has to offer.
