I came back to this because,
this may be where our conversation could have more popular interest.

I ask the question, what is it for, and consider not at all whether it be good or bad for me. The answer to the question before me need not be arbitrated, there is a time and a place for everything.

Have you ever known yourself without this temptation to arbitrate? The difference in perception to use an analogy that I had heard before I saw it myself, is like that of seeing the backside of a tapestry who's image is scrambled or diffused and full of loose threads, sizeings, glue and whatnot, and seeing the tapestry from the front with sharpness and clarity and brightness of color.

I once picked up a very old metal implement, some kind of tool which I could not identify. It had a simple mechanism but I could not figure out what it could be for, and thus I had no name for it. Someone told me what it was for and immediately I was familiar with it's meaning, no longer a mysterious shape.

I asked the same question about god, what is it for.

    How about the name dejavu?

Latin redundant- , present participle of redundare "overflow" < undare "rise in waves" < unda "wave"].

I'll try but you will have to put it in your mouth to taste it.
Another way to say it is, you can't judge correctly the contents of a book, by it's cover. To do so is to confuse form, with content.

I live with a six year old. He sees packages of food on the shelf and they have appetizing pictures on the outside and he says I want that. When I give him that he finds that it was not to his liking after all, he was deceived by the appealing picture.

No, there is no accounting for taste. Sometimes taste leads you to experiences you would rather not. Drug addiction comes to mind.

No, it means you do not consistently find your good.

Give us barrabas you say!! You can't conceive innocence in this explanation.

Lust is not a violation. Lust is holy lust, lust is what it is. You are tasting man, and knowing man .

Lust is not love, it is imagination. Sex drive is for procreation. Attraction works to help you toward your good, but objectification staunches the flow.

You seem to be used to metaphor but you are not generous to this one, wanting to confine it's reach to disgusting.

But good is common to us. Going in and out is common also. The steady exist but they are rarer, although still within our experience as we apply ourselves to a desired aim.

I first shed my cultural conditioning which told me I did not inherently measure up. Absent the illusion of incompleteness I find myself grateful. I challenge our cultural conditioning at large that we might all know grace. Cultural conditioning by definition is not respectful to your inherent condition.

then the purpose of god is exactly this innocent uncertainty .

even when god be proved and that one little is uncertainty abolished ,
it'd still be impolite to point . peace to existence .

    what is your question ?

mine is ... any news from the wilderness ?

  3. It isn't innocent when sin is involved. When men's lives are at stake -- how can God let its existence be uncertain? Perhaps a man's life just isn't that important and we're all being douchebags and would be happier if we just stopped it. What does God become if he decides that man's life is so important he should intervene in human affairs? He becomes unhappy, doesn't he? He becomes concerned. Concerned isn't happy. Happy all the time is what we should be. Happy all the time.

LOL You don't get it. And I don't mean religion. :-D

Yes, I know you. I don't know god must exist for you, only that it does.
My position is not an argument. Yours is, because you insist god must exist for me, that I know by your own position it exists for you. Is it possible you think yourself not more experienced, or intelligent, but simply...kinder than I am? :)

My 'something' has already been said. You haven't ears to hear me. Your prejudice is god. Perception can't be transcended, being of spacetime.

Your will is to instruct. lol If I thought that was all it was, I wouldn't be writing with you.

How perspicacious of you. Your finding everything to be good is an apportionment. I have only found everything to be what it is.

I can't do that for you before you present it to yourself as such. Its being everywhere apparent for you means you may be specific, doesn't it?! lol

You wrote whether a thing works, and serviceable or not. When you had those fleeting glimpses of what you thought was good, what was it?

LOL I never had to transcend good and evil. And, no, I am not beyond taste and distaste, not being, only going beyond myself. :-D

Same old. It's dull being 'goodish' in your universe. :-D What weather did you produce today?

One what? I like your dad. He asked if you still believe in god after all this time. :-D Poor bastard! I guess he doesn't know you like I do. You call upon dad, not bad, san.

No, my affair with you, thedope.

You mean questions. I have no objection to god existing for you, but you object to god not existing for me. I don't object to god existing for me, it simply doesn't.

Eternity has eyes that envelop! :) A smile that is so delicious you can't possibly see where it begins and ends...and for you, because eternity is more generous than everything you consider to be your grace; - a butt that won't quit.

Some people hate when actors talk about themselves. What is too good to be true? Why not too good not to be true? Is truth something that has been bad to you?

Equal dispersal is misconception. I feel like I'm taking a favourite toy from you. lol

So what shape has god taken on for you now you know god? Are you the negative space you say creates form? lol

    And there goes the dictionary.

No, I'm talking about the lust violation saying. If you don't want to get into it, fine.

Yes, there's no accounting for taste. You've told me you're tired of it.
    I don't believe that.

LOL Innocence is exactly what I conceive in your explanation.
Your phrase doesn't make sense. What the words mean, supposing they were to make sense, is disgusting. I suspect you know it, not wanting to bring them up again. Lust is no violation, but your words suggested it was. I don't hold you to them.

And I think barrabas broke up. I don't know too many songs of theirs anyway.

The steady? The still? The unmoved? The...?

To the culture that was being addressed, it was. I already told you this, and you claimed that I blamed the vulgarity that you saw on one thing or another, and that now I am avoiding the question because of said vulgarity. I am not avoiding it, I am trying to explain it to you. The phrase does make sense. I hope that by not holding me to those words you aren't blaming me for your lack of it.

When the figure who is attributed the saying was asked a question about the propriety of marriage he said you do not understand, there are no marriages in heaven. The rules given by moses were to accommodate hardness of heart. That is to mitigate sore feelings like jealousy which can be a murderous rage. Such rules stepped in to manage affairs between men with a certain barbarity in their hearts, to keep them from killing each other over possessions. The exact question asked was, who's wife is she.

In the place of mercy, those people had laws. But it is discovered that good relations between men cannot be institutionalized as we are creatures of nature, of natural emergence. The people of the time were under roman occupation and that was heavy upon them and they cried out for a more dignified existence. The response was come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

No, I leave the apportionment of good to god. You find things both beautiful and disgusting. I find what is.

Those who do not go so much in and out of love. Those who do fall in and out of love, do so because they had conceived love conditional.

I agree with you, although I might put it differently. The true nature of our existence and the universes around us are thoroughly ambiguous and elusive. Reason is the faculty that sets us apart from other animals, so logic and science are precious gifts, but they will never provide us with certainty. Nothing can do that. "The Light" you call God is accessible through intuition, but that is a blunt instrument--more so than logic and science. Whatever we believe, we can only be sure we're wrong about most of it, and possibly not even that. But we can give it our best shot. I believe in what the Quakers call the Inner Light. No blasphemy intended, but I the only experience I can compare with God is sex. God for me is like that only better and on-going. It would be odd when having sex to ask: how do I know my partner exists? Is there enough evidence, or should I suspend activity until science confirms it, which it isn't likely to do/ It would spoil the mood completely. I just go with it, and am grateful.

The birds of the air come to make their nests in the shade of my branches.

The purpose of language is communication. I would like to get it. To communicate we need have common terms. For instance when you say the word world, what do you mean? There are so many perspectives from which to view the symbol that may represent.

I have said the cultural co-option of esoteric principles demands compliance
and that demand for compliance results in religion. Religion is a particular model of good that I do not adhere to, albeit I have a model of good. Religion's promise is that if you follow it's precepts that you will do the will of god and find favor in that way. The man who takes his principles into the wilderness to learn their function, (the sly or studious man), attains access to his own mastery, will.

We are born into a framework of culture but we are creatures of the stars.
The stars appear brilliant in the absence of city lights. That is what I mean by we are in the world but not of it.

We are all equal to any virtue. By your witness, you are less consistent in finding your good.

Unless you're in an Anne Rice novel and having sex with a ghost, there is plenty of evidence that your sexual partner does exist. An individual can be proven to exist through all five senses, whereas God cannot be proven to exist whatsoever.

It makes no sense. Here it is again.

"There is a saying that if you look at a person with lust in your heart, you have already violated them."

You have made no sense out of it, I have made none, other than to feel disgust at the idea of attempts at sense people might make of it, and really all that has happened is that you've upbraided me for my disgust. As well as a lack of sense. lol

It's not even like the saying you were trying for!

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

What a mess. You could always try and explain your allusion to the cry for the release of Barrabas, how you thought you were relating it to me, or what I was doing, if the violation thing isn't doing it for you. lol

What, are beauty and disgust not things?! lol :-D Things are what they are. There is no apportionment of good beyond what we apportion it to. You pretend you don't value life. You say it is redundant.

Oh? How much? You think because we give love its condition it has no condition of its own. LOL We're it. But you are trying to come to terms with 'words', and you'd like me to stop laughing, but politeness is too extensive a part of my love to stop now! :)-D)

No, we are only equal to only our own. I really should let you go your way with 'god'. :)

You imagine, virtuously, it cannot be denied, that we have god in common, when we really only have the world.

But it doesn't matter! You'll find one day I've never been laughing at you, at least not in any way you would prefer me not to. lol

You know we share a sense of humour. :-D

since we cannot determine correctly on whether the universe is infinite or not

god is still a matter of debate.

    after all

infinite space and time surely means absolute certainty

    including god.

either way - we believe in a giant explosion that happened out of nothing

    what of cause and reaction?

in our daily lives we would see this as an oddity

so why is the idea of a creator even more ridiculous?

i am not religious but cannot help but to speculate.

It doesn't matter what science says. If you think Evolution or Big Bang still doesn;t refute God, then just think of how a God as depicted in Bible or Quran is logically impossible.

The answer to " Where have all this come from " is till unknown, but a God like that can never be the answer because something that big and complicated will need a source of creation and it will be an infinite loop .

It's evident that everything in Universe has started as a simple and small thing and has either progressed, has become a part of something else or has destroyed. To think that the beginning is a God that's bigger than everything and has everything in him is laughable.

What is different? I substitute the word violation for adultery. Isn't adultery a violation in their culture?
Are you happier with it said that way?
Do you still find it disgusting, prude.

The disgust is not in the words. Disgust is the result of your interpretation of the words coming up against your personally adopted taboos.

The meaning of the saying like I said, is that thought immediately emanates unto the fabric of creation, there are no idle thoughts.

We take an example and you say the example is disgusting even though I offer an innocent take. Between the two perceptions, you choose guilty, give us barrabas and in so doing, you do it to me.

    Absolutely not.

Yes and perception is not knowledge. Beauty and disgust are subjective perceptions. Subjective perceptions are abstract, they have no physical form of their own. However they filter our view in such a way that we think we find their representatives as objective constituents, but they are not.

I said I was bored with sensation. You know I value life, why would I try to deceive you about this? By redundant I do not mean superfluous as the frame grab of the dictionary was trying to explain. By redundant I mean overflowing like a wave. The wave is contained within the shoreline and the tide goes in and out. The breath goes in and out. The sun rises and sets, redundantly.

You have a lot of emotion tied up in your terms. My meditation is beyond symbols.

My friend tells me and others we make love constantly. Whereas I do not laugh often there is always a smile behind my eyes. We are loves condition but what are you? Love is magnanimous intent regardless of condition.

This is a metaphor; love is without condition, everything else is respiration

Some confuse attraction and repulsion with love. They call the attractive love or good and the repulsive bad or evil. Attraction and repulsion however do not give us information about the environment, only our attitude toward it.

Only the world? What you find precious I have yet to fathom. I suspect however that your interest varies.

I think you misunderstand me. Laughter subsides when the yes and no paradox is resolved. We laugh because we do not know on which side our sensation should rest.
I count on it and it allows me to speak my mind.

Actually the big bang is theorized to emerge from a point of intense singularity, that is a lot stuffed into a very small package.
