I'll elaborate my take on amateur and how it relates to my belief it's not real as people claim. If you think real couples don't go on cam and in more cases post videos on amateur sites for money, and in doing these videos accentuate their sexual acts (form of fakery, the performance is more important when under scrutiny) to be more condusive to WATCHING them, you are out of touch with the industry. Or better put, you've been fooled by it. You've bought what it was selling. Don't worry, I'm not insulting you. I'm insulting the belief you have been persuaded to believe. (And you did the same to me, believing that I don't know Taylor Rain was "performing" to the audience in all her videos).

Amateur does have value. But it is not REAL. And using the claim of it being real to discount what you consider fake, and the people who like it, is rude and stupid. So stop doing it, or you simply will be called on your stupid and rude statements.

Put quite simply, true 'Amateur' is where a couple like to record their own lovemaking sessions either by setting up a camcorder on a tripod, or holding it for POV shots, where they are the only ones present.

'Fake' covers all the others that include a 3rd party with the camera and / or director & other film crew.

hit the nail on the head, exactly where i was coming from, except in some cases i would include the addition of someone else (a third party like myself) to film the amateur couple for them in the very same scenario where those persons might have filmed the same scene themselves, but they want more from it.

having the camera on a tripod, or using it in POV mode between the participants is very restrictive to many people while filming themselves, sometimes having to stop the sex act just to change angles or get a closeup of the action, or just have the scene filmed entirely from one angle (this comes from our own personal experiences from a few years ago) so having a 3rd party to film the event just allows them to be filmed in certain situations and angles while they are carrying out the act, and do not have to stop the act to achieve this, and an example would be when they might want to incorporate camera roaming, panning, zooming, and close-ups etc into the footage.

if by using another person just to film the video takes away the amateur status of the video, well thats up to each individual to decide, for me its still exactly the same as if they filmed the same sex scene themselves in a very restricted manner.

there may not be a lot of singles or couples who would want someone filming them, but there is definately a market out there for this, and i have had requests from some of my wedding clients to film some footage of them then on their wedding night, or they ask me to go see them some other time to arrange a shoot in their home, just for their own personal use.

it may not be to everyones liking, but this amateur sex is out there, it is real sex, and some people do happen to like watching it.
