autophobe means an irrational fear of the self. i don't have an irrational fear of myself, but once, when i was very young and didn't let little things like a complete lack of musical talent and lack of access to instruments get in the way of things, i tried to start a band with a mate of mine called "Arthur and the autophobes" (none of us was called Arthur) we found the word, as i recall, in a list of phobias in "Bart Simpson's guide to life", a simpson's tie-in book of which, for some reason, i owned two copies. at around the same age me and one of my best friends decided to combine our names, swapping the first letters of each, he was louis and i was tom, so he became "lom" and i became "touis" later "tooey", abbreviated to "2e" both of these things are related to memories of my childhood and people that i have more or less lost contact with, but its nice to reminisce, which is why i combined them for my username. i wanted to recapture some of the wide-eyed innocence of youth, i guess.
It is the name that was given to me 13 or 14 years ago, through somewhat mystical means. Aerianne is who I am. Only my family, and people who knew me from way back, call me by the name my parents chose for me at birth.
My name is from a short story that I wrote when I was in grade school, Drbonzai was the main character and he was fighting a maniacal genius called the brain chicken. IDK how i thought of it back then but yeah, that is why
Ganesha is the name that was given to me by a beautiful sister at a Rainbow Gathering years ago, and is since then the name of my true self. Well, and 1967 is obviously the year when I was ladled out of the gene pool and poured onto the face of this Earth. Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
The origin of my name is simple, but the explanation is long. It comes from my last name, which is Zawistowski. Well that name is kind of intimidating to a lot of people, even when I tell them the way family pronounces it: zah - vyeh - stov - skee. Because of that, people at work tended to call me Zav, but there was one guy there who couldn't get even that short name right. He would always call me Zev or Zeb. That guy screwed up a lot of things. I have a whole book of his vocabulary. Anyhow, I've been using the name Zeb or Zebb for many years because of good old' Jack. By the way, no one at work calls me Zav anymore. I've lost my name completely. Now I'm simply know as RZ.
They made me have one in order to sign up for the Forum... I think everybody has to have one. :leaving:
And I guess when you signed up, "Captain Obvious" was already taken, right? *SCNR* :smilielol5: Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
Mine is actually quite boring. Sage being my last name and 'A' being my initial. Though I quite like the meaning of sage, its connotation of wisdom, and the herb. Proud of being a 'Sage woman' like my free spirited mom & grandma. That's about all the meaning it has, was simple & easy to remember.
