I haven't, but have been friends with someone who has, and I was friends with the stripper girl, too. She ended up getting pregnant, going into a methadone clinic for a percocet addiction (5 - 10mg per day, now at nearly 200mg of methadone daily), having both children taken away by the state, and moving far away with some biker guy. I think I would have kept the percocet habbit instead of trading it in for a methadone habbit, to me that seems worse..

 

Of course, it's way fucking worse! She got instant acceptance into the methadone clinic because she was pregnant. She went from literally 1 - 2 pills (5mg) per day, stolen from her boyfriends prescription, to getting pregnant and telling the doctor she had a problem. Next thing that happens is she was referred to the clinic, assessed for severity of addiction and tolerance, and started at 40mg methadone a day. The baby was born into withdrawal and hooked up to morphine for a few days, then weaned with I think codeine. If that isn't one of the most fucked up things I've ever witnessed... And here I was, with a 150mg+ oxy / heroin / fentanyl / suboxone / whatever I could get my hands on a day habit, I was told I had to wait 6 months before the clinic would even entertain letting me in.

I've dated a few. One was the closest I might've got to marrying.
Big problem is if they are fulltime lapdancers. They might not be coming home 4 am or later. And not up til the afternoon(ish). So, if you do a "normal" job, things might be like ships passing in the night.

As people, they're the full range, good and bad. Altho' I might be suspicious of ones who have no other career plans for the future.

I dated a couple of dancers in the early 80's -- one fit the generally accepted stereotype, the other (and the better looking one) was an all around great person -- now she's an exec for a major advertising firm and we're still friends.
