Approximately 6 months ago my mailman had a trip on 8 Hawaiian strand HBWR seeds. He said that when he did it, it began when he was laying on the couch extremely sick. After watching tv for about an hour the tripping began. A few minor visuals appeared such as bending. The main part was the mental part. Unfortunately after 2-3 hours, he began noticing his pulse rate was slower (when in reality it wasn't) and started freaking out. He told me he felt like he was going to die. After that it went downhill for most of the time, he couldn't talk normally. It finally ended with him throwing up everywhere. Although it was a bad trip, after he came down it made him really appreciate life, and he now views everything from a different perspective. This has really made him more intelligent, and makes him live life to the fullest. Unfortunately for a brief time after it he was hypochondriac about it and felt he was going to die. After reading on the internet about it, he discovered he was okay, and was really grateful for everything, and felt it really improved how he thought about things. He's considering taking a less dose (probably about 5) soon and now knows how it will be. (This was his first time trying a psychedelic) Thoughts?
First off I find its interesting that you have a close enough relationship with your mailman to be discussing their drug habits. I recently explored 8 HBWR seeds and had a pretty enjoyable trip but I have a fair amount of experience with Psychedelics. I drank ginger beer for the comeup which helps suppress nausea and it worked great for me, I felt pretty much no nausea the whole trip. These seeds have definite psychedelic properties so don't underestimate them due to their legality and what not. It sounds like you (by you I mean the mailman) gained a fair amount of respect for them so that's good. With that being said don't go into your next trip assuming you 'now know how this will be.' One of the most interesting things about Psychedelics is the variation in trips based on set/ setting/ dose and other variables.
Yeah my mailmain and I are very close. :sunny: Hmm he tries to stay away from beer. Any other tips for the nausea? HBWR seeds are the only psychedelic/drug he's ever tried. (and only that one time) Do you have any recommendations for the next trip? He legitimately thought he was going to die, and was extremely terrified. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? (Or can you die from HBWR? Are there any dangers of them?) His one adventure into psychedelia was extremely interesting and enlightening. Also, what effects can HBWR have on brain development? (His brother that's still attending school is interested that in them since he tried them.) I'll happily tell him about this information when I see him on Monday delivering the mail. :2thumbsup:
Ginger Beer is non alcoholic but weed and peppermint I've read as reccommendations as well. Ive never read any fatalities from HBWR but vasoconstriction is a side effect and serious enough vasoconstriction can cause circulation cut off to parts of your body and worse case scenario gangrene if untreated. I have not read a HBWR report with effects that significant but there has been a trip report where I read someone saw their limbs turning blue. ( Now keep in my mind that is a very rare incident and they very well could have just been tripping but felt its worth mentioning) then many experience nausea and stomach cramps which perhaps could be viewed as a negative effect on health, i didn't experience either so can't comment much beyond that. I'm not aware of neurotoxic effects, seem most people use HBWR several times and then the nausea starts to be a nucance or they move on to other drugs. It doesn't seem to be acutely neurotoxic but limiting your use to once a month or less (like the given timeframe you did) may be wise.
Oh wow, haha, I'd never heard of it before. Maybe I'll tell him to look for it at the store. Thanks for the recommendations. Alright, I have a couple questions in response to that. First off, is death a slight possibility? Also, if he didn't suffer blue limbs during his trip/at any time, is that a good sign? Finally, are there any long term health effects from HBWR? Alright, that's helpful. Have there been any lab research/studies done on LSA? Just curious. By the way, sorry for asking a lot of questions. I've had a lot of questions, and this is my first time talking about this stuff on a forum. Thanks so much for your help so far:sunny:
Your mailman????? What is this the new SWIM?:toetap05: What the fuck, dude, nobody gives a crap if you take drugs and we aren't gonna tell your mommy, so just tell us about YOUR drug experiences. We don't give shit about your mailman, or better yet give the website link to your mailman so we can talk to the person who actually took the stuff. :frown: fucking newbs trying to be clever....sigh....... Don't want to be a complete ass (I know GB will say "Too late") so I will say GB (guerillabedlam) is probably one of the more knowledgeable about HBWR and other psychedelics on the site, like me , so you won't go wrong following his advice. Welcome to HF and you don't need to hide behind your mailman.
Personally I haven't tried HBWR, but have tried Morning Glory seeds in the past. Not my particular cup of tea, but I appreciate the potential there for sure. I'm an old fart and the majority of my experiences have been with the common trio, LSD, mushrooms and mescaline. Like I said, GB is one of the best resources here for info on a lot of different RC's and such, not to diminish the contributions of others. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here.
Some of the really good, but often obscure or local brands call it "ginger beer". I think there is a difference in amount of ginger used, with ginger beer using more for a bolder flavor.
lets seeds swell up in lemon juice.. the stomach pains you are getting is the seeds expanding in the gut.. even if you pulverize them into powder, . the powder will still swell up in the belly.. leave sit in lemon juice for a few hours before consuming. Makes a hell of a difference.
Oh yeah, I have yet another question (hopefully the last). What are some recommendations you guys would have to have a great trip with about 5 seeds? I don't want to feel like I'm about to die again (because I feel that I took too many seeds for a first time). How would I prevent having a bad trip? Here's the plan for this one, tell me if I need to remove, edit, or add something. The night before (most likely a Friday) -Start soaking the 5 or so seeds the night before (Friday night) -Get mentally prepared for it, not over anticipating it though. Become mentally accepting of it, and realize it's not going to hurt me. (that was the main problem with the last one) -Eat lightly for dinner The "vacation day" (a Saturday) -Relax, make sure I'm mentally prepared -Don't eat anything before consuming -Prepare/get the concoction ready at about 7:00 the next morning (Saturday morning) -Consume around 7:30 or 8:00 am -Do something relaxing, maybe take a walk in the woods for the entire day -Enjoy the trip for the rest of the day
