i found today these mushrooms, but I am a newbie to the mycology world! are they psilocybe ??? and if they are what type???
Amanita phalloides ( /æməˈnaɪtə fəˈlɔɪdiːz/), commonly known as the death cap, is a deadly poisonous basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Widely distributed across Europe, A. phalloides forms ectomycorrhizas with various broadleaved trees. In some cases, death cap has been introduced to new regions with the cultivation of non-native species of oak, chestnut, and pine. The large fruiting bodies (mushrooms) appear in summer and autumn; the caps are generally greenish in color, with a white stipe and gills.
Note only those who really, really know what they're doing (as in an expert) should even consider messing with mushrooms found in the wild. Someone who lived near my family's house in Maine died after eating a poisonous mushroom by accident, and they had years of studies and experience with mushroom identification behind them. Too many different species look too much alike, with some being perfectly safe and some being deadly.
