It had been a long time coming but on my two year anniversary it felt like a good step. They're going to be pissed to because I made sure I put in a formal complaint to HR and effectively raised an investigation. Feels as if 10kegs have been removed. Looking forward to the future investigation meetings with HR and managers. They put their foot in it and did no anchor a solid defense, on the offense I came, in all my glory. XD So excited! Fishing here I come!!
Basically, I've felt a vibe from the managers. This company was bought out 6 months ago and a lot of people let go. Half of my job description was set to be transferred to Western Australia. That means I'm in the line of a redundancy in a months time. I was then continually bullied by management over the utmost pathetic things like leaving 10 minutes early to drive missus to the airport. I worked an extra half an hour for that and I cop it for 10mins? Anyway yeah, just sucks here, more people today resigned too. I've been warned not to burn my bridges but honestly they can fall in ash. I may regret whinging to HR but ill regrt it if I leave and don't speak up. I'm a reserved guy so don't say much in real life, there's a virtue I live by but my time has come to speak! And speak I shall to the bastards of a lying company. =D
yeah, i don't know about fishing. quitting one job doesn't mean you don't need to go find another. but congrats on getting out of one shitty situation anyway.
if i were i wouldn't have quit unless i had another job lined up. I know you hated it but a job is a job in this economy. not easy to come by and find another one may be very tough. At least you are out of a shitty situation..but you are also out of getting $$ every week
Lol no I don't go to unemployment, too proud to beg for charity. Ill just stop off at a recruitment agency and score a job. Impeccable qualifications I have. I've never left a job with another lined up. That's like... Like you don't even get a holiday at the end of it. I always take a week off and then start handing in resumes. For some reason, touch wood, I've never had a problem finding employment in Australia. If all else fails, security guard is the job for you like it was in the past.
Ummm...I just wanted to tell you something about "reporting" on a boss (or whomever) to HR. In my last job I was being shorted hours, as in the boss was literally going into the computer and changing the hours I had clocked in and worked, meaning I wasn't being paid for the right amount of hours. (I already was barely getting enough hours to even be considered regular part-time!) He would yell at me (for NOTHING!) in front of customers. He even bragged IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS how many pills he got a month and said he "self-medicated" (smoked) when he could. I reported ALL of that (except for the self-medication), but especially how he was shorting my hours and yelling at me. I told them they didn't have to just take my word for the hours since SURELY TO GOD they could look up in their big computers and see if my time hadn't been altered from where I had clocked in and that it had been changed later. I told them this saying that this had to be confidential! I said I thought he needed some kind of "dealing with employees" classes, and he needed to be stopped changing hours. Again, I told them how very important confidentiality was since I was already being treated like crap. Guess what! Their sorry asses TOLD HIM immediately!!!! He then literally cut my hours down to 5.5 one week and NOTHING the next week. lol (The same day I broke my ankle he called and left me a message to come in to work that day and to work 3 days the following week. When I called him and told him I broke my ankle, I could hear the glee in his voice. I think I also heard him tap-dancing. :2thumbsup: ) Anyway, that is what HR will do for you.
