Yes it is obnoxious. But that feeling you get when you see this is the same feeling I get when I hear some ignorant hick talk about Obama being a "Muslim from Kenya." I reserve the right to disgust these idiots as much as I am disgusted by them.

 

Than why not create an intelligent thread highlighting your opinions? Take the high road man! Show that you are capable of meaningful thoughts not feed the trolls and create yet another flame thread.

 

That's an admirable suggestion sir, but this late in a presidential election year, my high road is all used up. Like the blokes on the other side I'm doing well if I can muster a half-hearted "EFF YOU MAN." Full sentences just aren't in the cards at this point.

 

You must realize when others go on about how Obama is a muslim and whatnot its because they have no real valid talking points right? It only makes them look even less intelligent than hopefully what they are. Playing the race and religon card is just plain wrong and has never sat well with me. Don't get me wrong I'm no Obama supporter or Romney for that matter. I wish it was Ron Paul up against Obama but thats not the case. So I must write in my canidate. this reminds me a bit of something that happened during the Bosnian Civil War.

i was infuriated after hearing all of the human rights abuses being committed against the Bosnian Muslims - genocide, torture, mass rapes.

then came a day when the Bosnian Muslims retaliated against a Serb village, and for a moment I thought "Good! Now their side is being punished!"

Then I realized that the Serbs in village were mostly old people too decrepit to flee, single mothers, and others who were simply unable to escape in time.

I realized that the real enemy was a mentality, a kind of behavior, not a particular camp

If we may divide humanity at all, the division does not break down along lines of nationality, race, demographics, or party.

In my opinion, the division is between those who treat others the way they in turn would like to be treated, versus those who don't. It is those who bear good will versus those who don't.

you're dumping toxic waste here, something that poisons generally, that makes all of worse off. in doing so, you have joined "their side".
