I thought the 90's was a great time in the uk for music, what with the rave scene and all the Indie bands, and Britpop, plus tripping becoming popular in the mainstream again along with the new drug ectasy, it was an excellent time, almost a revival of the 60's but the next chapter, i realy thought there was new hope on the horizon for a wake up call, but sadly it was short lived it seems, so i continue to live in hope. I thought a thread dedicated to the Naughty Nineties would be cool if it aint already been done, but what the hell, ive just cracked a bottle of me homebrew elderberry wine and smoked a couple bongs of decent weed, so heres some of the tunes i like from that time, and... I agree, although I can't stand britpop and most indie bands. Drum 'n bass, big beat, some cool trance stuff, that's what makes 90's UK music scene great for me!
Oh absolutely each to there own an all that, for me the whole scene was cool , i guess the only music i'm not too keen on is mainstream stuff like beyonce. sugar babes, kylie etc, altho even they come out with something now an then. heres another classic 90's hit by 'Sporty Spice' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7E24eKJvs0"]Melanie C - I Turn To You (Music Video) (HD) - YouTube
I was listening to Jesus and Mary Chain today and I don't know why I didn't notice it before but the Stone Roses were obviously influenced by them (my opinion). I just thought I would mention it because it's UK music.

I was born in the 80's but did spent my teen years growing up in the 90's. In the 90's britain was cool. I look back at the music, the films, the fashion, the whole culture that defined this crazy decade with great nostalgia. I may have been young and not so innocent but what a time to have grown up in. Can you define the next decade that followed as easy as the naughty 90's
