Anyone know what scale(s) brad is playing in this song?

 

well the chords for the song are only D major to E major. When bradly is soloing, it sounds like he is play in the key of A Major.

 

ahhh! Sublime is ska. i am searching for all the ska threads. there doesn't seem to be more than 2 at the moment...

 

Ska is only a small part of Sublime's sound. They also borrow heavily from punk rock, roots reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, the grateful dead, funk, and even folk music. They have sooo much more depth to their sound, in my opinion, than the average "ch ch ch...pick it up! pick it up!" ska band. I have all of their albums, and they were my favorite band for a few years before I went totally hippie "jamband", hehe. 40 oz to freedom is still one of my favorite albums of all time, one of the few that I never get sick of but like more and more every time I hear it, along with The Clash's "London Calling", Lou Reed's "New York", and a select few others (I don't compare anyone else's albums to the beatles, as that would just be unfair)

 

I couldnt have said it better drbreaker. Sublime was more than a band it was a blackhole where all types of music would b sucked in and spit out as their own musical style. I own all their albums but their greatest hits, and while my musical preferences have changed since being introduced to them, Sublime still remains one of my favorite bands due to their versatility and awesomeness.
