I've not had time to do anymore to it, maybe by tonight I'll beable to Your daughters kitten is cute! We have a kitten too, a bit older, she is almost 6 months and more mischevious than my 17 month old toddler!! I'm a bit worried because my landlord wants to check the house and its not particularly in the best state. I have animals when I shouldn't, toddler drawings over almost every wall, candle wax stuck in the carpet because I burn way too many candles and the blinds in all 3 rooms have been attacked by the toddler/kitten tag team, and broken!... Im in deep clean mode but being a Sagittarius I don't tend to stick to doing things
it all sounds like surface stuff MamaPeace... blinds can be replaced, carpets can be cleaned, pets can be explained or given to a friend for a day perhaps? is your landlord a reasonable person? try to see the deep cleaning mode as pottering... have a potter, have a cuppa and a shmoke if that's what you do, then another potter? if i was close, i'd come give you a hand hun...
I have until next Saturday luckily, any sooner and I really would be screwed I'm not big on the housework, and I procrastinate to no end! I've just put the tiddler down for a snooze so hopefully I can get something done! Ah well, not the end of the world if I don't impress the landlord! This is my first time living alone and its been just over 6 months with just me and a toddler so that's my excuse
My mums taking the cats for the day luckily, just need to find a hiding place for the degus! I'm sure it won't be longer than an hour that shes inspecting!
I think that Lillally's idea to give the kitten to a friend or family member for the day is good though...I don't know it's up to you...I don't know how kind your landlord is.I know that when I have to do a big clean I sometimes use it as an opportunity to re-arrange stuff and jazz things up a bit.I only have a room in a shared flat so that is my space so I try to make it as nice as possible.
degus are awesome! i only just discovered them as my niece has one... what a little character he is... my abode was always a bit messy when the kids were small, so don't worry... i never really got out of the habit of being a bit messy... kinda cured me of OCD... well in the housework dept. anyways just a bit at a time hun... it's prob not as bad as you think... morning Fairlight
also in London atm, but usually living in the woods in Surrey, in an Eco Village... i have a bad chest infection, so staying with my youngest daughter atm as my abode isn't warm enough yet bcos i haven't finished building it yet...
Cool, 3 Londoners I'm also in the surrey part of London right now, where abouts is the eco village? I'm in.....*deep breath* croydon.... Don't like it much I was in Epsom before this though, just outside of London but still in Surrey, I miss it there, much more relaxed
I was involved in a self-build eco-project at SunnySide community gardens in Crouch End some years ago.We built a substantial class-room type building for kid's groups and disabled groups to study in...I keep meaning to go back and see if it's still going...The project...It was a lot of fun helping to build that.
Did anyone say CATS day today??I'm nuts about cats..small or big.. in my forum album are maybe over 50 pics of tigers..it's my bloody nickname(ahah) where in Cyprus are you going,crazy...?? try to visit the Troodos mountains... never been in Cyprus..it's still on me list though..cheers.. @lalli..i think Brussels..well...it's not my fav place in Belgium.. but if you know where to go..then it's O.K..
