Despite the weather and chill at the moment I just wondered in my bored rambling mind who in the UK is still barefoot?
I am, I know a couple of other p/time barefooters who are off/on outside if work. I know Shayla (shakti_om) is, anybody else?

I try to go barefoot as much as possible, but its by no means full time. It'll get less and less as the weather gets worse, I guess. I lust after a warm climate! :)

Too many jaggy things on the ground to do that here. Ouch! And it is too cold :-( What a terrible summer we had this year, and they are going to get worse because of climate change

I'd be interested in hearing how you guys cope with cold and the like? Do your feet just get hardened to it, and you dont notice it? :)

Oh it's certainly cold sometimes, but my body only seems to say no more about the same time I need gloves, but then I only tend to reach for something like a pair of sandals. I think a lot of that may be due to my lifestyle, I'm a traveller and spend a lot of time outdoors, even at work on the market even though I'm covered I'm still outside. I dunno really, I'm not going to pretend to be some hard-nut who can take anything, I'd just rather be chilly than wear shoes. Anyone who tells you they dont feel the cold is probably telling you a tale. :)

Yes, i'm still bf at Barton Watersedge, and a few hours ago rode my bike bf across the Humber bridge in the rain, which attracted some stares from the pedestrians i passed!
My cut-off temperature for barefooting is around ten deg. c.

I gotta admit this morning my first few steps outside were chilly, but after a few minutes it was fine :)

Ah my favourite time of year for barefooting. Fallen leaves, damp textures and all that lovely mud :)

Yep, still barefoot with no chill. It's actually quite mild at the moment. Had a comment today though. I had a lady ask me if I was barefoot for religious reasons. After a little chat she said that she has met Catholic people in France and Spain who barefoot in support of their religious convictions.
    Interesting eh?

It's a bit too cold for me to go barefooting in the UK now. I was out barefoot last week with a temperature of about 12C. Any colder than this and I go shod.

I still go barefoot occasionally, the trick is to be well wrapped up and keep moving. I also find stretching (especially the legs) really helps.
