I got this game a few months ago and it's pretty addicting! I found myself playing it for hours on end. I think I'm getting closer to the end of the game, but it's pretty fun. I know this is late notice considering that the game came out last year. For those of you unfamiliar with the game, it's basically a 40s detective game where you solve murders and interrogate suspects. You have to use your own instincts, brass and ingenuity to find out if someone is guilty or not. It really pulls you in and makes you think you are in this time zone. Yes, it can be a bit slow at times but if you overlook that and go along for the ride, you will have fun. There are not many games out there these days that make you think. It's almost like Detective for Dummies in a video game. I recommend you guys check it out! Enjoy!
your right about this being addictive game I just finished it a few days ago once I got halfway through the second disc I couldn't stop playing.
I still want to play this game! I had my eyes fall on it and what appeals to me most about it is it isn't an action shooter but you go solve your 'quests' in a more realistic way. Although I am not against shooting thousands of mafioso or cowboys (red dead) or even civilians in a game like the godfather I sincerely hope there will be more adventure/rpg games focussing on thinking and realistic actions and behaviour instead. "It can be a bit slow at times" does not sound bad to me at all (it's most likely partly due to the contrast with all the other games)
Well, the great acting, decent story, clean graphics, etc certainly didn't. But when I bought the game I was under the impression there was a lot more at stake when you were doing the interviews and gathering information from witnessess, although it seems as though you can progress right through the story while being rather terrible at the game. Sure, your boss might yell at you, and you won't get a high score for the mission, but I thought the game didn't quite live up to what it claimed it was supposed to be. Furthermore, gathering evidence at the scene for me just wasn't fun at all, it seemed more like a chore. Plenty of people who disagree with this, of course. Now allow me to say I never finished the game because I just wasn't having fun with it, so I'm betting there is much I didn't do. Having said that, if I like a game at all I generally play it until completetion. If I fucking love a game, I may play it several times. This one just didn't ring my bell.
Ah yes if it is too easy to go through that would disappoint me as well. It's a common complaint these days in games...
I just beat the game. And I've gotta say...not worth playing again. At least not anytime soon. Maybe time will tell...
