fredoniaaa...mad parties we got the record for most bars in a square mile ...moving to buffalo by the summer tho thats where i originate
The grass is always greener on the other side... My opinion? Western NY is fucking BEAUTIFUL... the lush forests, the finger lakes, all the creeks and streams, fields, etc etc. One of the most naturally beautiful places I have ever seen (and I've lived in various parts of the country), so long as you take the time to breathe and truly open your eyes to it... Spring, summers, and falls in WNY are absolutely stunning... I believe a lot of natural energy resonates in the environment here... I am so blessed and so very fortunate to have lived here and experienced what the land has to offer.. Much love, my fellow New Yorkers
My wife is being transferred to Buffalo, so we are moving out there next week. We are going to live in East Aurora. I have only been out there once and that was when we went to find a place to live. I didn't get to see too much of the area since we had limited time and a specific goal, but what I saw seemed really pretty. Can anybody recommend a good place to take my dogs for a walk? Walking the dogs is kind of a hobby. It counts as a hobby right?
Rochester. Going to school in VA though. We should have a big ol' hippie gathering in Western NY in the summer.
The idea is basically to get people together who would like to live in a communal environment where all is shared. The idea is for housing that is truly landlord-free. Instead of exploitation, the emphasis is on free housing and egalitarianism. Nudist-friendly. Diversity is encouraged. Artists, thinkers, poets, musicians, filmmakers, witches, activists, storytellers, performing artists, philosophe rs, petowners, and pets all welcome. Since we share the air, there is no smoking inside the housing commune. Rather than toil or be housebound, the residents can collectively pool their ideas and efforts together for the common good. In the event that some work that might need to be done, all the residents could pool together and get the job done, whatever it might be, like flicking a light switch, grabbing some grub or lighting paraffin wax or a torch to light your path, or an occasional foray into making an igloo or wigwam. There may be some options for foodshares and clothingshares nearby, where people share their clothes. Sharing the shower, sharing sleeping arrangments, and sharing the toilet, and all the items within the house will be shared by everyone. The emphasis will be on sharing all the household activities and everything within the housing commune. Think sharing and not selfish. Think social and not anti-social. Think common and not private. Think cooperation and not competition. Think transparency not secrecy. Think informal not formal. If this type of living arrangement seems to interest you please email me. (jsf3@buffalo.edu) This housing commune is located in the Broadway Market Historical District in the Broadway/Fillmore area on the East Side of the city of Buffalo, New York.
