Is it dangerous to take LSD for the first time alone?

That's a great bunch of information. I have seen people that act like assholes try to maintain their mental equilibrium on L, while acting as they do while straight. But NOT FOR LONG! When a person actually begins to really HEAR themselves as they are--some introspection is forced upon them. Usually,in my experience, some major adjustments will begin,particularly in the 1st few trips a person takes. Oh,it can be done for recreation(re-create?) but I'm not too sure the first trip is condusive to a great deal of ,say--spiritual developement,because of the mind-blowing realization that all is not as it seems. I have been a guide for others(long ago) and it was good that I was there to remind them "it's the acid". When I did it 'straight',those for whom I was a guide thought I had taken it also. Some of you will know what I mean--contact high. Bottom line=use a guide.

A guide is good, but nobody knows everything about the experience. I think sometimes a guide can distract from the real self realizations and instead shove their own ideas into the trippers mind.

I have been a guide to many peers in that I plan the basic outline of where everyone will be and when people will drink water and I will drive them to where they desire, but I try to keep mostly quiet. I'll be there for them to ask if certain things are real or if certain things are something they need to be concerned about.

There's one thing I really want to do - I'm not sure if I'll be ready for it by that time - I'll see how I feel closer to it. But it's simply to experience the London fireworks on New Years Eve - I think that will be incredible. But, the way (so far) that I have been thinking of going about it is as follows:

Mandatory sober sitter for such a public place and I'll be getting a hotel as close to the water as possible - worst case, if I can't quite handle outside (crowds could be a nightmare!), then I'll stay in the hotel room and watch through a locked window. Best case scenario, I will have very well explored the local area and the path that I would take to get from the waterfront to the hotel... multiple times, so it's almost muscle memory to get back to the hotel... thus no real logical thought processes required. Plus, I'll also pick out some safe places, should I feel overwhelmed, along with having some really simple safe words known well by both me and the sitter.

I think that will really help lead myself into a comfortable trip - perhaps I should trip in a vaguely similar (but fewer people) situation to see how I manage it too.

I think once I get used to something like this once or twice - it'll be much easier to get myself comfortable in that scenario.

Don't have to not take the acid, just do some reading. WELL worth it.

And Tasty, a couple of friends watched the Amsterdam NYE fireworks on shrooms and said it was absolutely incredible, but they did have some minor problems with getting lost in the crowds on the way back to the apartment.
All in all they said it was worth it, but the fireworks were only a tiny part of the trip..

 

Good choice for now. Walls breathing is like the beginners part of the experience. Most people take Lsd so they can see things like walls breathing! That is why it is considered a hallucinogenic substance in some sense.

Walls will breath, spin, melt, dance, vibrate, split apart, and then turn into a fractal grid revealing the fundamental structures of the universe.

Thing is if you did end up taking lsd you would probably not think of the walls breathing as scary. Once it happend to you you would probably think, "oh this is pretty neat, the walls are breathing!"

But as far as the doing it alone question, its all depends on the situation. My first lsd trip was partly alone. Melting into the floor and watching my hair grow up and down was pretty awesome. While pondering the meaning of life and believing there wasn't any led to suicidal thoughts and extreme anxiety. That on the other hand was not cool. Atleast with friends your in it together, it can take some of the anxiety away.

Its all part of the lesson though. If you read up on it more and feel brave one day lsd can really be great opportunity in your life.

I did, I was to scared to do it my first time around my friends thinking I would make a fool out of myself or do something embarrassing, just make sure you got some good jams, some weed and youll have a good time

 

I remember the first time i dosed up, 2 gel caps back in the 90's. Was a pretty awesome trip, even when the black light exploded and i cut my thumb open fucking with it.

I still like to trip alone or with my old lady. Less bullshit to deal with then some of my friends who like tripping.
