I want to talk to my dad. & maybe even my mother eventually. I have tried & failed at the "spirit guide" thing. It's very hard for me to meditate. A friend of mines mother got in "contact" with my mom but all she would say is that she loved me. Maybe because she wanted to talk to me directly?? So any suggestions?
Look to your family for guidance someone that believes in a traditional native way if you have native blood. Patience, just because you want to doesn't mean your parents think you need help
My dad was the last of my family (Caucasian) I'm not close to his side of the fam. My mother was adopted off of her res & both her parents are deceased. She left me at a young age as an off and on mother & eventually was murdered. I have alot of questions i need answered and since no one is here to do it, i want to talk to her. My dad just passed July this year & he believed in this shit as do i. I just wanna make sure he's okay.
Good idea. I just wanna be safe. I was experiencing some what of a "paranormal activity" in my house, actually in my childs bedroom. It went on for a week every morning at 3am. I finally just told "it" to leave and it did.
There many ways how you can do that on your own if you real want to do it. if your dad used to believe in those things then he must have had anything that he was using as a chain to those spirits, you can adopt that the same way to, but before you go any father this is friendly advise, live the sleeping dog sleep, you will never finish what you want to start, better settle in your life right now.
I think this is good advice. You will see them again one day anyway. It's not even a long time to wait.
yeah..i went through a stage of hanging round with people who where channelers of spirits both human and non human...basicly its just flim flam in the greater sceme of the universe. if these guys want to hang round on frequencies close to human existance i guess theres nothing stopping them...but you know there are much more interesting places out there regarding this. lis
I didn't ask my friends mom to do this, for some reason she just did.. It was kinda strange at first bc i knew she did this kind of stuff but for her just to pop out of the blue and do it. I have a friend that is from Nigeria and he says she could have had a bad spirit trying to get to me and to leave all of this alone. The "thing" in my kids room started shortly after i tried to "search out" a spirit guide. I don't think it was a bad spirit, just one with bad timing. When my kids done playing with his toys i make sure they are all turned off, especially after the first time this one toy went off completely without being touched. then next time at almost the exact time another toy but it was like some one was repeatedly pushing the same button on the toy. My child was sound asleep & even if it wasn't turned off it was laying in the floor with nothing around to even touch it. This happend every morning for a week so i finally just told "them" they had to go.
it is quite the same as saying to your ancestors ' be of peace ' . your children shall not know old sorrows , though to know some words of Ute would be nice and especially words meaning family . upsidedown coyote clowns beeping on toys will certainly not do .
First of all pay attention to your dreams. My mom came thru in lots of subtle ways. She was blind. When I was packing her things after she passed, I heard music coming from one of the boxes I packed. Upon opening the box, I found an angel that when wound played Amazing Grace. A sentence from that song goes "was blind but now I see". Next day at memorial service they lost the music to one of the hymns I picked and asked me if Amazing Grace would do. I inherited her TV. I would be sitting ther watching it and it would click off then a moment later it would come back on again all by itself. While falling off to sleep one afternoon, I was sure I heard someone whisper "Susie". I wondered what the heck that was about...a short while later I remembered that she used to call me Susie when I was a little girl (susie is not my name) All I am saying is don't overlook anything. She might not be able to talk to you but she might be trying to give you a sign. You can be sure that your mom really loves you I am sorry about the tragic circumstances of your life and I hope you find closure
Before I got to your reply, Windy, I was also thinking of how important dreams are/can be when wanting to contact someone on the other side. (Great minds work alike, huh... ) Anyway, I would also suggest that right before you go to sleep, just empty your mind, and ask that your mom and/or dad come to you...that you would like to see them, to talk with them. I can say in all honesty that along the way I have been very, very comforted by dreams (and "conversations" in dreams) with my loved ones that have passed. I've also had similar circumstances to what Windy has described. Such as: after feeling terribly sad missing my husband, I was "told"/led to his old love letters that I had totally misplaced. I have "found" pictures (twice) in places I just know I never placed them. In fact, I hadn't seen the pictures in so long, I thought I had totally lost them forever. I've seen some "funny" (not) things; but, that is subjective whereas finding previously lost items is concrete. (At least to me it is.) I've heard my name called also...but like Windy said, just pay attention to every thing.
